Betty Botter Betty Botter had some butter, "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, it would make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter that would make my batter better." So she bought a bit of butter, better than her bitter butter, and she baked it in her batter, and the batter was not bitter. So 'twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter. Sea Shells by the Sea Shore She sells sea shells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I'm sure she sells seashore shells. A Flea and a Fly A flea and a fly flew up in a flue. Said the flea, "Let us fly!" Said the fly, "Let us flee!" So they flew through a flaw in the flue. Woodchuck How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? The wiseman told to put a stone on to the horsecart and wathe where the stone falls , it is the right place to build the city. Having reached up with a flat place, the rock rolled to the center of the hill and there was the city built. Tallinn is named by a roe-deer, who died here. King Valdemar loved the deer so much, he let to capture it alive. When roe-deer saw that he was restrained, so he started to run randomly and then he fell, because of fear and weariness, down of the seashore and broke its neck. He goes to the city gates and asks from the gate guard if the city is completed or is it still in the middle of the building process. Because of that the guard has to answer that the city

Kadriorg and Pirita Kadriorg (Catherine's Valley), one of the oldest and largest parks in Estonia, covers about 70 hectares. Originally it was an are on the seashore featuring low meadows, shrub land and a few manor houses. In the 17th century most of the land was in the possession of Fonne, the Town Council's secretary. At the time the park was called Fonnenthal. A century later the name was changed to Yekaterinenthal after Yekaterina, wife of Peter I. Kadriorg Palace was designed in Baroque style by the Italian Niccoló Michetti and built in the 1720s on the order of Peter the Great in honour of his wife. Since the landscape is very rugged, most people live in the south and near the coast. Vancouver and Victoria are the largest cities in British Columbia. The region includes the Queen Charlotte Islands and Vancouver Island. All these islands are peaks of a mountain range that is partly covered by the Pacific Ocean. The St Elias Mountains in the Yukon include Canada's highest peak, Mount Logan. It towers 5,951 metres above sea level. Because the Coast Mountains are on the seashore, the coast of British Columbia has many long, narrow inlets called fiords. The fiords provide a water route to Canada's most valuable forests. These forests consist of red cedars, hemlocks, and other evergreen trees that grow on the lower mountain slopes. Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are Canada's Prairie Provinces. They are known for their rolling plains and extreme climate with long, cold winters and hot, dry summers. Much of the

status of civil and military ships, freedoms of high seas, marine scientific research; rights of landlocked states; question of piracy. When talking about PIL, we are talking about law of the sea. Here, all measurements are done in nautical miles: 1853,6 m = 1nm. Also known as sea mile, geographical mile, admiralty mile. For information: 1609 m = 1 lm, land mile, English mile, statute mile. All measurements to make delimitation of boundaries are taken from base lines. The seashore is a normal base line, so you measure the necessary NM from the base line, e.g. territorial sea is 12 nm. Some seashores are not very straight, they are complicated in this case you can connect the outstanding points, these are straight base lines. Then it is easier to make measurements. The water in the straight line is considered as internal waters not covered by PIL, under full sovereignty of the state

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

Vanemuine Theatre in 1974) is one of his best and mature works. Later, a suite would be arranged from this music.3 It is picturesque and Põldmäe is in his beloved “element”, the score being rich in colours. The music is well suited to the fantastic plot. The timeless action takes place on a nameless island. The ruler Kaspar is an unrestrained despot celebrating his upcoming wedding. The islanders go to the seashore to fish with a seine in order to pay homage to the bride. They are astonished to find a Mermaid in their nets trying in vain to escape back to sea. Kaspar announces that he will spend his wedding night with the Mermaid after the feast. This does not happen because the Mermaid has fled. An example of the use of colour from the beginning of the ballet suite; it is a sound canvas, the flow of time, a lonely island and stillness: 1
