"The Taming of the Shrew" is a comedy and it was first published in 1623. The book consists of 80 pages. The story is set in Padua, Italy. The story mainly follows the actions occurring between Petruchio, a nobleman from Verona, and Katherine Minola, the daughter of a rich nobleman of Padua. Body Summary The beautiful and gentle Bianca has a lot of admirers (Lucentio, Gremio and Hortensio), but her father wouldn't let her get married until her older sister Katherine is married. Bianca's suitors find a fortune-seeker Petruchio to offer his hand to Katherine. The suitors pay for any costs involved. Petruchio marries Katherine and he carries Katherine off to his country house with his servant Grumio. Petruchio intends

The action starts with a street-battle between the two families, started by their servants and put down by the Prince of Verona, Escalus. The Prince declares that the heads of the two families (known simply as "Montague" and "Capulet") will be held personally accountable for any further breach of the peace, and disperses the crowd. Count Paris, a young nobleman, talks to Capulet about marrying his thirteen-year-old daughter, Juliet. Capulet demurs, because his is in daughter tender age, but he invites him to attract attention of Juliet during the ball. Meanwhile Juliet's mother tries to persuade her young daughter to accept Paris' wooing during their coming ball. Juliet is not inspired by the idea of marrying Paris -- in fact, she admits to not really having considered marriage at all. But, being a dutiful daughter, she accedes to her mother's wishes

To avoid the high costs building the settlements, King of France made an agreement with a fur trading company if the company brought settlers to New France, they'd have monopoly to trade for furs and they would receive all the profits. First attempts of colonization failed. In 1604, French nobleman and a mapmaker named Samuel de Champlain established first permanent French settlement in the New World on an island. This area was called Acadia. When they moved to more sheltered harbour, the settlement was called Port Royal. By 1607, France wanted to establish a new French settlement along the St. Lawrence River. French went there and came back and in 1610, some of them returned. They were the ancestors of the French speaking Acadian people in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick today.

Bianca - A courtesan in love with Cassio who is approached to help recreate the handkerchief he finds. Her skills in needlework are inarguable, but also help recreate the final piece of evidence Othello uses against his wife.

ON A DAY nearly 4,000 years ago, in a town called Menet Khufu bordering the thin ribbon of the Nile, a master scribe sketched out the hieroglyphs that told the story of his lord's life—and in so doing he opened the recorded history of cryptology. His was not a system of secret writing as the modern world knows it; he used no fully developed code of hieroglyphic symbol substitutions. His inscription, carved about 1900 B.C. into the living rock in the main chamber of the tomb of the nobleman Khnumhotep II, merely uses some unusual hieroglyphic symbols here and there in place of the more ordinary ones. Most occur in the last 20 columns of the inscription's 222, in a section recording the monuments that Khnumhotep had erected in the service of the pharaoh Amenemhet II.
