To fulfil the aim following tasks were set: to search for information in literature about the bats hibernating in Estonia, to conduct surveys each month in the hibernating season 2008/2009 in Laagri system nr 1, to analyze the data obtained and to compare the results with the hibernation season in 2007/2008. All species proven to hibernate in Estonia have been found also in Laagri hibernation place. In hibernation season 2007/2008 following species were recorded: Myotis daubentonii, Myotis dasycneme, Myotis brandtii/mystacinus, Plecotus auritus and Eptesicus nilssonii. In addition to the previous species Myotis nattereri was found wintering in Laagri hibernation place for the first time in the season 2008/2009. Myotis brandtii and Myotis mystacinus were counted as one species during the surveys conducted.
