and you see him getting beaten up by a bunch of bullies without no apparent reason, what would you do? More then a few of us pretend as if they had not seen anything. I myself would feel awful, but I wouldn't know what to do either. Although I would condone myself with the idea, that life is difficult and it's just something you have to deal with. But does tolerance mean that all manners should be accepted? No, of course not. Manners that disrespect or hurt others, like being mean or bullying, or manners that break social rules, like lying or stealing, should not be tolerated. Tolerance is about accepting people for who they are -- not about accepting bad behavior. Tolerance also means treating others the way you would like to be treated. Nobody wants to be mocked or even be a victim of physical violence. In reality, we have no idea how much pain our small insignificant words can cause. We may think
Rebellious youngsters in Viimsi Secondary School One if the biggest schools in Estonia, Viimsi Secondary School, has problems with discipline. Children vandalize school and disrespect teachers. Viimsi, which has been the wealthiest district in Estonia, for last couple of years and also has developed infrastructure, attracts young families to move there. The population has increased over the past few years by half. Today, approximately 16 000 people live in Viimsi. Therefore 164 children started first grade this year which increases students amount to 1350. Despite of the fact that Viimsi School was built only three years ago, it already needs some reparation
common with and have really nothing to talk about, besides their feelings for each other and the fact that he might turn batsh#t and eat her any second. And she, instead of running at the door, or at least acknowledgning the irresponsibility for her own life, carries on marvelling over his bronze hair, marble skin, sweet breath, sculpted chest and every other part of his finely toned body, that is repeatedly described in purple prose. I do not hate ''Twilight'', nor do I disrespect the people who really like the book , I've just grown tired of the hype and cult surrounding the series, and therefore might get somewhat passionate about my list of reasons why ''Twilight'' shouldn't be considered ''th3 bEST book eva written!!!!11'', therefore I admit that, to me, the novel is a victim of bad publicity. At least Stephenie Meyer couldn't complain too much, considering that the all the publicity surrounding the book has brought her an estimated fortune of $125 million.
The powerful symbolism invested in the practice of flying flags at half-mast is demonstrated by the offence caused when this practice is not respected. In Britain, when Diana, Princess of Wales, died, the flags on all public buildings were at half mast except for the Union Jack flying atop Buckingham Palace where tradition stipulated that the flag should fly at full mast to mark the fact that Queen was in residence. The associations of the flag flying at full-mast as a sign of disrespect for the dead caused public outrage. As a result, tradition had to give way to public pressure, and the flag was finally lowered at the Palace under intense media coverage. The process did not stop there; to mark the first anniversary of Diana's death (31 August 1998), the Queen ruled that all flags at the royal residences should be lowered and half-masted as a special mark of respect. The British government declared immediately that they would follow suit.

doesn’t give a damn. They don’t consider Blacks as a market they should go after. They believe that whether they court that market or not, Blacks will always drink Heineken. It takes a great sweat to make a buck. In many cases, you have been dehumanized as a Black in making that buck. Doesn’t it stand to reason that before you spend that money you would ensure that it is intelligently spent? You know why I have a great admiration for Jews? Because they would never allow anybody to disrespect or humiliate them. Whether it is the state of Israel or Jews in the Diaspora, they use their extraordinary intelligence to retaliate. They don’t believe in going to the barricades; they don’t believe in rallies; they don’t believe in demonstrations. They believe in taking decisive action. If a company dares insult the Jewish people, you know what happens? They buy up the shares of that company, have
Never finished the work, died before. Byronic hero – male character that is idealized but flawed, gloomy, passionate, sensitive, moody, loner, relies only on himself, ready to fight against the world if necessary – exile, secret past, disrespect for authority and privilege, though has both; self-‐destructive. Women in romantic literature even more restricted than during Middle Ages; depicted as utterly devoted to their men with no character of their own. Early 19th century – “feminine romantics” or “anti-‐romantics”

Elizabeth felt herself completely taken in. She had fully proposed being engaged by Mr. Wickham for those very dances; and to have Mr. Collins instead! her liveliness had never been worse timed. There was no help for it, however. Mr. Wickham's happiness and her own were perforce delayed a little longer, and Mr. Collins's proposal accepted with as good a grace as she could. She was not the better pleased with his gallantry from the idea it suggested of something more
EPILOGUE: LOOKING BACK ON THE JOURNEY in the bathroom (the comic spy thriller Modesty Blaise by Peter O'Donnell). Foolishly, in a fatal, tragic mistake, Vincent has underestimated his opponent, and has left his gun sitting on the kitchen counter. Butch hears the toilet flush, grabs the gun, and kills Vincent. It s a near-death O R D E A L for Butch, but it s the tragic C L I M A X for Vincent, who has been brought down by one of his flaws — his disrespect for his elders. He is punished with true poetic justice, and in a humiliating way, being caught gunless while exiting the toilet. W e don't know it yet, but Vincent also appears to be paying the price for having denied a miracle — the miracle of escaping the bullets of the Fourth Young M a n in the earlier scene. H i s death at this point seems like divine punishment for having refused to acknowledge divine intervention.
