Love and forgiveness

Love and forgiveness Is it hard to forgive someone, that you love? Most of the people think that asking for forgiveness makes you look like a loser. In asking for forgiveness you also have to admit you are wrong and people do not like to do that. Nobody wants to be humiliated. In the first place, when someone has insulted you, and the person admits that he has been wrong, then i see no reason why not to forgive him. I think that it is important that the person himself understands his fault. Everyone needs a second chance. Furthermore, you want to forgive someone, who is really related to you. However, you cannot forgive everything...

Forgiveness and punishment

Forgiveness and punishment Everybody who has ever done anything wrong has wanted forgiveness or gotten punishment. But forgiveness is not easy however punishment is. So should people forgive or should they decide to punish? Firstly people often do not want to forgive others and want them to feel the same pain as they did. As a result of that people want to punish the people who hurt them. Although if the defendant is sorry and regrets what they did, maybe it's okay to forgive. Even though it may be hard to let go of the hatred and emotions in the...

"Anna Karenina" kokkuvõte

Still, Levin doesn't care, for he is disgusted with superficial elements of life. Stiva refuses to speak French with the waiter, because he doesn't want to give the waiter an upper-class social status. At the restaurant, Levin and Stiva discuss women, and Levin laments his love for Kitty. He also seeks her forgiveness , since he "played around" during his younger years. During the conversation between the two men, Stiva reveals a certain liking for the count (since the count has amassed such status), but still tells Levin that he should indeed propose to Kitty. Levin's arrival at the Shcherbatsky's prompts an argument between Kitty's parents. Her father, the prince, favors Levin. Her mother, the princess, favors Vronsky. She finds Levin too awkward and marred by country life...

Caves

The cross was still there during the writing of the letter in January 1354. Pilgrims started to flow to Vastseliina both from Livonia and Germany after what happened and many who were blind and deaf had their sight and hearing restored. The Archbishop of Livonia asked the Pope in his letter for forgiveness of sins to the visitors of the chapel, giving the following reason for his request: the growth in the number of pilgrims would provide funds for the extension of the chapel in the borderlands of Christendom. So the visitors of Vastseliina were granted a forty-day indulgence. Pope Eugene renewed the indulgence in 1342. There are records of pilgrimages to the chapel in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the first century of its existence the castle was not involved in much military action....

Capital punishment (essay)

mercy, but there are also people who think that violating the rights of fellow members of the community, particularly if it happens consistently, should be punished as severely as the death sentence. Most Christians are firmly against capital punishment, because they believe that there is some good in every person, even if he does not show any regret for what he has done. Not all people are as mature as to have such forgiveness in them. On the other hand this type of forgiveness cannot be a groundsel for the larger community, because it requires that you should really know the person that is in question. The Gallup Death Penalty Poll has shown that in the year 2008 64% of Americans were in favour of the death penalty and 30% were against it. The results have mostly stayed the same over the years. Although, if the question was to choose between the death penalty or life...

· One of the suckiest and most frustrating facts of life is that sometimes rela tionships just end, often WITHOUT reason. · Let's play Truth or Dare...TruthSay how you really feel...DareProve it! · Love has its own time, own season, own reasons for coming and going. · When they ask me what I liked best, I'll tell them it was you. · Sometimes in life, LOVE doesn't mean forever. Sometimes, we just want someone who's brave enough to take care of us every once and awhile · You can be wrong a lot of the time, we can fight, get mad at each other, but nothing in this world can change the fact that I love you. · love you. Movie review

Dear John movie review Dear John is a romantic drama. It was released on February 5, 2010. The film was directed by Lasse Hallström and it is a movie made from a book from Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. The key of the movie were love, war, loss, forgiveness . I liked the actors very much. The actors were Amanda Seyfried as Savannah and Channing Tatum as John. I liked Seyfried before I saw that movie, because she can play different roles and I believe her. She is a really good actor, not like most of the Hollywood actors. Tatum I saw acting the first time but I liked him too. They were really good together. Seyfried played a rich Southern girl who doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs and is spending her spring rebuilding houses for the poor people...

The Witch Trials in Salem

Unfortunately judge William Stoughton at first, presided over the court. He was a zealous believer in witchcraft was determined to root out any remaining 'witches'. Thankfully he left in early January 1693. Finally in May 1693 Governor Phips pardoned all those in prison (either convicted or awaiting trial). In 1696 some jurors admitted they had made a terrible mistake. In 1697 a day of fasting and praying for forgiveness was held. It was called the Day of Official Humiliation. One of the judges who presided over the witch trials, Samuel Sewall, publicly apologised. Why did it happen? Nobody is certain but a number of theories have been put forward. It has been suggested that the people of Salem felt insecure and this was a contributing factor to the hysteria. They were afraid of Indian attacks and afraid of smallpox. Furthermore in 1684 King Charles II revoked the Massachusetts Bay charter...

Erinevad aforismid

Life is a game. We all have part of this. Life is stark, sometimes it's unfair too. If you feel, you're so alone. So remember that, your friends are in your heart. Dreams're nice. But don't stay there long. It hurts to come back, to reality. There's no guarantee, that life will be easy. but if you'll be stronger, you will win this game. When there's no light to break up the dark, raise your eyes to the sky and smile. i see a forgiveness behind the clouds. i'm seeing the smile what i missed the most. i'm seeing your eyes, i'm seeing the truth. and now, i understand how much i needed you. and now, i understand i can't live without you. it's so hard for me. i hate a reality.

Tsehhov daam koeraga Chekov Lady and the Lapdog

Chekov Lady and the Lapdog Reid about Chekov: The characters in Chekhov's plays are never fully "known" as a writer, he seems to delight in maintaining a sense of indeterminacy, and unknowability, about them. The bare facts are always laughably inadequate to the complexity of "real" people. Anton Pavlovich Chekhov was born on 29 January (New Style), 1860, in Taganrog, a small port on the Sea of Azov, in southern Russia. As the son of a grocer and grandson of a serf, Chekhov was a first-generation intellectual. His modest background and upbringing are crucial to his development as a writer. Chekhov always felt that he missed out on childhood. It was a very hard lifeand it may have contributed to his poor health: he succumbed later on to the"family disease", tuberculosis, which led to his early death at the age of 44.His mother was a quiet, gentle soul who was full of stories of her early life. In later years, Chekhov would say that "w...

American Literature

Would it not have been better to have his sin revealed? Then when Hester and Pear stand with him Pear asks "Wilt thou stand here with mother and me, tomorrow noontide?"(Pearl 105)The minister is given another chance to redeem himself, but he cowers yet again! Dimmesdale is selfish, he tries to atone in private, by whipping himself and fasting. This accomplishes nothing, he knows in his heart that no punishment in private will get him forgiveness from the lord. Yet he continues his practices of private punishment, so he temporarily feels better about himself. Another occurrence of hypocrisy was when Hester finally revealed the true identity of Rodger Chillingworth. Dimmesdale was overcome with anger, how could Arthur have been mad? Hester had finally conquered her weakness of character, and told him the truth. Dimmesdale could only see that she had been harboring a terrible secret in her heart...

A little consideration, a little thought for others makes all the difference

Donate to hospitals or people who need it. You do not need to donate to everybody, but if you can, it would be nice. You can also donate blood or organs. Many people need those things. Think of it, that you can save someone’s life. Do not never lie. Lying is very bad and it takes lot energy, because you have to remember everything what you have said before. Do not hate anybody. Forgive everyone, it may take time, but forgive. Forgiveness will make you feel better and happier. Take more time, to go out and feel the nature. Do not throw trash in the nature. You have to keep the environment clean. It is horrible to see trash in the nature. Recycle trash like newspaper and plastic. Take those to other bags. These are things that can change the world, but remember you have to start with yourself....
