„WINTER WONDERLAND“ „Winter Wonderland“ ehk eesti keeles „Talvevõlumaa“ on jõululaul, mis on avaldatud aastal 1934. Selle laulu muusika kirjutas Felix Bernard ja sõnad Richard B. Smith. Eestikeelsed sõnad on laulule kirjutanud Vello Salumets ja eesti keeles on seda laulu esitanud Birgit Õigemeel, Karavan, Meie Mees, Noorkuu, Kare Kauks. See laul on kirja pandud Londonis, Central Pargis. Laulu kirjutaja kujutas ette, et pargis on lumemehed ja seal sajab paksu lund. Ta pani oma mõtted kirja ja siis saigi sellest laul. Laulu sõnad loovadki maagilise nägemuse lumest jõulude ajal koos traditsioonilise lumemehe ehitamisega. Läbi aastakümnete on seda laulu salvestanud üle kahesaja erineva artisti. See on üks populaarsemaid jõululaule.
Ärkamisaeg Mis on ärkamisaeg eesti kultuuris? Pärisorjuse kaotamine ning 1860. aastail alanud talude päriseksostmine andis eestlastele võimaluse majanduslikuks ja kultuuriliseks edenemiseks. Üks nendest kandis nime ,,Gravity". Lugu oli taaskord aeglane ja melanhoolselt sujuv ja jõuline. Terve selle loo aja oli esitaja ilme tõsine ning oli aru saada, et laul puudutas teda ennast väga. Teine John Mayeri lugu, mis esitlusel kõlas oli ,,Your body is a wonderland". See lugu oli veidi tempokam, vahelduseks väga hea. Siin lõi esitleja publikuga palju kontakti ning silmsidet. So why should an engineer consider different loads? the answer is simple - if the earth did not pull, the wind did not blow, the earth's surface did not shake or sink and the air temperature did not change, then loads would not exist and structure would be unnecessary. This would be so-called the Alice-in- Wonderland world of architecture. But in the real world the engineer's first job is to determine which loads will act on a structure and how strong they might be in extreme cases. This is anything but a simple task. Loads are further divided into environmental loads, thermal, settlement and sesmic loads.
