Review Oliver Twist Recently, when an English troupe came to Estonia to play Oliver Twist, we were lucky enough to go see it at the Salme Centre. The play was based on the book Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. They performed it in English, ofcourse, but what makes the play more interesting, is that it was in Old English. Thanks to the language, it took us back in time where the story takes place. It was hard to focus on the play, because of a girl who was sitting in the last row. She was

"Now You See Me" The film starts with introducing the four main characters: a street-magician (Jesse Eisenberg); a beatiful lady who performs extreme tricks (Isla Fisher); a mentalist (Woody Harrelson) who reads poeple's mind using hypnosis to cheat off their money; and a humble illusionist (Dave Franco) who earns money with pickpocketing. A mysterious stranger slips each of them a Tarot card to what is written a date and an address. A year later a troupe of magicians called The Four Horseman, performs on Las Vegas. They represent a big difficult illusion, where a random person from audiance is teleported to bank in Paris in few seconds. About a minute later, the cash starts to fall down from the ceiling over the audience. The next day, FBI arrests The Four Horseman, and the big thrilling chase starts. The FBI, leaded by the general agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol detective (Mélanie Laurent),
The theatre also organizes so called one-time "actions", in which you can't be certain if it's going to be a success of failure, because the ideas are somewhat crazy. It has two theatre halls, but their plays have been staged in the open air as well. For example one time in an old swimming pool and also in three abandoned airplane hangars. Their imagination has no boundaries. The theatre's artistic director is Tiit Ojasoo, and Ene-Liis Semper is the chief stage designer- director. The troupe consists of 10 actors, eight men and two women. The best known and also my favorites are Mirtel Pohla and Rasmus Kaljujärv. I haven't seen as much plays of theatre NO99 as I would like, because it's very hard to get a ticket in there and they play one spectacle very few times. If I had the chance I would go there much often, but as I play also in my own school drama group it doesn't leave much free time for any other theatre activities. The best play I have seen there is " Stalker"
The theatre is constantly searching for new plays written by Estonian authors. The performances are given in Estonian but the simultaneous translation into Russian is also available. In the Main Hall are mostly played full-blooded staging of the classics. In the Little Hall mostly plays of more intimate kind regarding smaller cast and space, selected scripts from the contemporary Estonian authors, and the producers' debut dramas are staged. With its 34-member actors troupe and 4 directors it is the biggest drama company in the country. During a season more than 500 performances for more than 100,000 spectators are given. I would recommend you to watch "Sinul on meretäis hirmu", its premiere is in 31.10. I have heard that it's quite interesting performance. Ticket prices 100-160 EEK. Performances begin at 19.00, Sunday children shows begin at 12.00. Box office open: every day 11.00-19.00.
