My dream trip

I was inspired by some of the movies I used to watch when I was little. There is always a scene where there is romance or happiness and that scene will definitely take place in the beatiful capital of France,Paris. I would love to see the amazing Eiffel Tower . I wanted to visit some shop there. I`m sure any place where I go in Paris is very intresting. Paris, there are a lot of wonderful museums and buildings, for example Louvre Museum, the triumphal Arc and so on especially the painting everyone wants to have a look at her secret smile. Also enjoy the beauty of this wonderful place. But I`dont like to live in Paris, because I like to live in Estonia because this is still my homeland.

capital, Rhodes. The city thrived commercially and had strong economic ties with their main ally, Ptolemy I Soter of Egypt. In 305 BC, the Antigonids of Macedonia who were also rivals of the Ptolemies, besieged Rhodes in an attempt to break the Rhodo-Egyptian alliance. They could never penetrate the city. When a peace agreement was reached in 304 BC, the Antagonids lifted the siege, leaving a wealth of military equipment behind. The Rhodians decided to express their pride by building a triumphal statue of their favourite god, Helios. The task was assigned to the sculptor Chares of Lindos, a pupil of Lysippos himself, and twelve years (from 304 to 292 BC) were needed to complete it. The Colossus of Rhodes was not only a gigantic statue. It was a symbol of unity of the people who inhabited that beautiful Mediterranean island of Rhodes. To build the statue, the workers cast the outer bronze skin parts. The base was made of

Amphitheatre. Gladiatorial schools and other support buildings were constructed nearby within the former grounds of the Domus Aurea. According to a reconstructed inscription found on the site, "the emperor Vespasian ordered this new amphitheatre to be erected from his general's share of the booty." This is thought to refer to the vast quantity of treasure seized by the Romans following their victory in the Great Jewish Revolt in 70AD. The Colosseum can be thus interpreted as a great triumphal monument built in the Roman tradition of celebrating great victories. Vespasian's decision to build the Colosseum on the site of Nero's lake can also be seen as a populist gesture of returning to the people an area of the city which Nero had appropriated for his own use. In contrast to many other amphitheatres, which were located on the outskirts of a city, the Colosseum was constructed in the city centre; in effect, placing it both literally and symbolically at the heart of Rome

Archaeological finds show human activity at that level with the discovery of carbonised wood.[citation needed]  An important function of the Forum, during both Republican and Imperial times, was to serve as the culminating venue for the celebratory military processions known as Triumphs. Victorious generals entered the city by the western Triumphal Gate (Porta Triumphalis) and circumnavigated the Palatine Hill (counterclockwise) before proceeding from the Velian Hill down the Via Sacra and into the Forum.[5]  From here they would mount the Capitoline Rise (Clivus Capitolinus) up to the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus on the summit of the Capitol. Lavish public banquets ensued back down on the Forum.[6] (In addition to the Via Sacra, the Forum was accessed by a number of storied roads and streets,

stopping. In the over-stopping the full stop is used abundantly, separating words or phrases that normally do not form a sentence (e.g. "I would not call her beautiful. Or clever. Because she is boring."). Over-stopping creates a peculiar abrupt rhythm. Under-stopping - too few full stops may also reflect the dynamic, rhythmical features of the text. The two devices are especially favoured by modernist writers (e.g. T. S. Elliot "Triumphal Marsh", or an extreme case of under-stopping is the last chapter of J. Joyce's novel Ulysses no single punctuation mark for 40 pages). 4. The inverted commas for quotation marks may signal the unuttered thoughts of characters or they may suggest that these words or phrases belong to other characters and the author feels ironic about these words, or these words or phrases are used in a specific narrowed meaning. 5
