to cheer -- water-polo -- cycling -- diving -- fencing -- gymnastic -- rowing -- weight-lifting -- wrestling -- fan -- Summer Way of Spending Time In my opinion there is a great number of different ways of spending summer holidays. It depends on person, on his culture, education, age, social level and personal tastes and preferences. So, everyone likes his own way of summertime spending. It is a great pleasure to have a rest after a whole year of hard work or study. People like to travel during their summer holidays. Some people go abroad to see new countries, some people prefer to go to the country- side to enjoy country-life far from noise and fuss of big cities. Other people like staying at home doing nothing, but watching TV and playing computer games. Some people like to spend their holidays in cities, visiting theatres, museums and going sightseeing. But a great number of people go to the seaside. As for me, I prefer to go on holiday to the seaside
Gerber, founder and chairman of E-Myth Worldwide and the world's #1 small business guru "Timothy has packed more lives into his 29 years than Steve Jobs has in his 51." --Tom Foremski, journalist and publisher of SiliconValleyWatcher.com "If you want to live life on your own terms, this is your blueprint." --Mike Maples, cofounder of Motive Communications (IPO to $260M market cap) and founding executive of Tivoli (sold to IBM for $750M) "Thanks to Tim Ferriss, I have more time in my life to travel, spend time with family, and write book blurbs. This is a dazzling and highly useful work." --A. J. Jacobs, editor-at-large of Esquire magazine and author of The Know-It-All "Tim is Indiana Jones for the digital age. I've already used his advice to go spear shing on remote islands and ski the best hidden slopes of Argentina. Simply put, do what he says and you can live like a millionaire." --Albert Pope, derivatives specialist at UBS World Headquarters
Oh, and they’re phones, too. Heck, I can use my “phone” to …book a restaurant reservation in seconds …adjust the heat in my house from anywhere …or deposit a check without going to an ATM It’s no flying car (which, come to think of it, we were promised we’d have by now), but it’s pretty impressive. TheWebitself kept improving.Even when I’m using my desktop computer to do all the things I’ve always done on theWeb(buying stuff, making travel plans, connecting with friends, reading the news, and settling bar bets), the sites I use tend to be much more powerful and useful than their predecessors. We’vecome to expect things like autosuggest and autocorrect, and we’re annoyed when wecan’tpay a parking ticket or renew a driver’s license online. Usability went mainstream. In 2000, not that many people understood the importance of usability. Now, thanks in large part to Steve Jobs (and Jonathan Ive), almost
More praise for Influence: Science and Practice! "We've known for years that people buy based on emotions and justify their buying decision based on logic. Dr. Cialdini was able, in a lucid and cogent manner, to tell us why this happens." --MARK BLACKBURN, Sr. Vice President, Director of Insurance Operations, State Auto Insurance Companies "Dr. Cialdini's ability to relate his material directly to the specifics of what we do with our customers and how we do it, enabled us to make significant changes. His work has enabled us to gain significant competitive differentiation and advantage" -LAURENCE HOF, Vice President, Relationship Consulting, Advanta Corporation "This will help executives make better decisions and use their influence wisely ... Robert Cialdini has had a greater impact on my thinking on this topic than any other scientist." -CHARLES T. MUNGER, Vice Chairman, Berkshire Hathaway, Inc.

Sylvia Day Bared to You Sylvia Day Bared to You The first book in the Crossfire series, 2012 This one is for Dr. David Allen Goodwin. My love and gratitude are boundless. Thank you, Dave. You saved my life. Acknowledgments My deepest gratitude to my editor, Hilary Sares, who really dug into this story and made me work for it. Basically, she kicked my ass. By not pulling her punches or letting me shortchange the details, she made me work harder and because of that, this story is a much, much better book. BARED TO YOU wouldn't be what it is without you, Hilary. Thank you so much! To Martha Trachtenberg, copy editor extraordinaire. This book is an important one for me and she treated it that way. Thank you, Martha! To Victoria Colotta, for all her hard work on the i
