He was commissioned as a second lieutenant and completed his training as a tank commander. He served for 77 days on the front line in the Afghan War, although he was pulled out after an American website revealed his presence there. CHARITY WORK Diana became increasingly associated with numerous charities. As Princess of Wales she was expected to visit hospitals, schools, etc. Diana developed an intense interest in serious illnesses and health- related matters, including AIDS and leprosy. She was one of the first very high profile people to be pictured touching those afflicted with AIDS. This had a significant impact in changing people's opinions and attitudes to the disease. She was very at ease in meeting people from any background and even if they were ill or in hospices. The patients would react very favorably to her meetings. In addition, the Princess was a member of charities and organizations working with the homeless, youth, drug addicts and the elderly

Where is he from? A reeve was similar to a steward of a manor, and this reeve performs his job shrewdly-- his lord never loses so much as a ram to the other employees, and the vassals under his command are kept in line. However, he steals from his master. The Summoner (est: KOHTUKUBJAS): Describe his looks and personality and his sins. The Summoner brings persons accused of violating Church law to ecclesiastical court. This Summoner is a lecherous man whose face is scarred by leprosy. He gets drunk frequently, is irritable, and is not particularly qualified for his position. He spouts the few words of Latin he knows in an attempt to sound educated. The Pardoner (est: INDULGENTSIMÜÜJA): Describe his personality and looks? How did he make his money? How religious was he? Pardoners granted papal indulgences--reprieves from penance in exchange for charitable donations to the Church. Many pardoners, including this one, collected profits for themselves

The oldest hospital still in existence is in Paris. It was founded in 800's A.D. In the 1700's European cities began to build hospitals. They were charity hospitals for the poor and sick, as the rich people were treated at home. The early hospitals were dark, crowded and very dirty, so it was very likely to be infected even more, when you went to be cured. The first hospital in Estonia was the hospital of Saint John, first mentioned in 1237. It was for the people who had leprosy. 2.2 Recent developments Many scientific advances have helped to improve patient care. Surgical and intensive care units now use electronic equipment. Modern hospitals are full of advanced equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound scanners and life-support machines. Computers help hospitals keep laboratory and medical records. Hospitals use many disposable items for safety such as plastic thermometers, and hypodermic syringes and steel needles
