Peamine erinevus eri teadlaste poolt koostatud mudelites on isiksust kirjeldavate faktorite arvus. Näiteks Eysenckil on kolm, Cattellil kuusteist, Goldbergil, McCrae`l ja Costal viis faktorit, milleks on ekstravertsus, sotsiaalsus, meelekindlus, neurootilisus ja avatus. Kõrge ekstravertsuse määraga inimesi iseloomustatakse kõige sagedamini kui väga seltskondlikke inimesi. Nad on jutukad, südamlikud, rõõmsameelsed, sõbralikud, vastutulelikud ja armastavad teisi inimesi.
