Eestis 2014. aasta seisuga oli kogutoodangu suurus 26,36 miljardit dollarit ja ühe elaniku kohta 25 547 USA dollarit. 2013. aasta seisuga on Kreeka inimarengu indeks 0,860 ning ta on kõige kõrgemalt arenenud riikidest 29. kohal oma inimarengu näitajaga. Kõige esimesel kohal on Norra (0,955) ning võrreldes Eestiga on Kreekal parem inimarengu indeks, kuna Eesti on 34. kohal ja meie inimarengu indeks on 0,846. Tuntuim Kreeka rahvusvaheline ettevõte on Aegean Airlines. Aegean Airlines asutati 1987. aastal ning see on Kreeka suurim lennufirma nii lennukipargi suuruse kui ka reisijate arvu poolest. 5 Rahvastik Kreeka on rahvaarvult keskmine riik, kus elab ligi 10,8 miljonit inimest. Riigi keskmine rahvastiku tihedus on 81,7 inimest ruutkilomeetri kohta. Võrreldes rahvastiku tihedust Albaania (98,5 in/km²), Makedoonia (82,2 in/km²), Bulgaaria (65,2 in/km²) ja Türgiga (97

TURKEY AND CYPRUS Turkey has unresolved issues and unstable relations or no relations at all with some EU member states. Greece and Cyprus are cases in point. In recent years, Greek- Turkish relations have improved considerably and Greece's policy towards Turkish accession is a positive one, but this depends on the political barometer over the Aegean and Cyprus. The fact that Turkey does not recognize the Republic of Cyprus a full member of the EU since May 2004 has been a source of legal controversies and political complications. (Joseph, J.S., 2006) In that regard, there is still an open question that how can a candidate country conduct accession negotiations and sign an international treaty with a country it does not recognize. That is a big problem and question that Turkey has to deal with.

The stone vault probably first sprang forth in Anatolia and the Aegean region of Asia Minor (central and western Turkey) in the 2nd millennium BC for short spans in civic construction. The Mesopotamian civilizations introduced the first major development of brick vaulting in the royal palaces, and also probably the first important arch bridges in the 6th century BC. In the past, many Anatolian cats were exported and registered as Vans or Angoras although Dutch and German breeders are striving for purebred Anatolians. The mistaken identity of Turkish Van suggests that they produce semi-longhaired variants. The Aegean Cat is derived from naturally occurring cats of the Greek Cycladic Islands. It is being developed by members of the fledgling Greek Cat Fancy and is currently the only native Greek breed. Selective breeding started in the early 1990s using native semi- longhaired. These are of a light European/Continental type i.e. neither cobby, nor oriental. The semi-longhaired is than that of Turkish Angoras. All colours are found, with bi-colours (colour-and-white) predominating.
