Safe streets again Increasing crime frequency is serious concern for everybody. Feeling unsecure, being scared are things that we should not encounter in our society. Nevertheless we have to find solution, which will last. Firstly, we have to create greater police presence. More officers means more people will certainly get help and feel safe again, which is the most important. Also criminals cannot accomplish crimes, because they definitely do not want to be caught. Secondly, we have to establish tougher sentences for those who commit crimes. First reason being is they will sit longer in prison. Second reason: delinquent will think before he does something. For intance murderer will get death penalty or perhaps some burglar will do community service for long hours. Another option is to teach children not to take a evil road. How can we make our cities more environmentally friendly? If I walk along the city streets, I feel a terrible smell. That comes from cars. It makes me feel very ill. Then I just have to step on trash, because people can't wait and look for a bin. That's why our streets are so dirty. Everywhere I go, there are always some workmen building big houses. Tartu Hanseatic Days are celebrated every year from 17th to 19th July. For three days the Old Town of Tartu is filled with Hanseatic merchants and different workshops. People dress up in different medieval clothes and have a great time. The Hanseatic days are held so people could test their skills, learn more about their history and just have fun. Before the festival can start people set up tents and workshops in the Old Town. Some stalls are set up on the streets while others are located in the courtyards of historical buildings. People also make or buy costumes for the festival. Some dress up as simple peasants while others prefer to play merchants, soldiers and knights. Homelessness Every night thousands of people are on the streets. This type of behavior is considered deviant because it does not reflect the norms and values of our society. In many cases the homeless people in our country are treated as total outcasts. Many of these people have severe mental disorders. Some are victims of an economy that has failed them. The homeless are in need. As fellow humans we are obligated to help those in need. They are not only in need of money, but they are also in need of our attention and our support.

The Great Fire of London The Great Fire of London started at the bakery of Thomas Farynor on Sunday, 2 September 1666. It spread rapidly towards the City of London. The Lord Mayor of London created firebreaks to stop it, but he was too late. By the time they started to stop the fire, it was already a firestorm. On that night, the wind was very strong. The houses were made out of wood and were very close together and the streets were narrow. More than half of London burned down. St. Paul's Cathedral, 13 200 houses and 87 churches were destroyed by the fire. There were hardly any deaths. The beauties of the city were the large castles, stunning churches and amazing abbeys. The gap between rich and poor was humongous. Common people lived in houses which were made out of wood. The streets were very narrow and buildings were built close together. Most of the people were poor and the living conditions were unbearable. The city was infested by rats because of the townspeople who would throw their trash, out-dated food and sewage out on the streets. 3.1 Spreading of the plague The reason why Great Plague spread to England is that the merchants travelled to Asia which already suffered from the plaque and when they came back they gave a free ride to the rats.

In Tallinn we have a very interesting weather.We have rain,snow,ice,sun,cold,warm and even lightning.We also have windy-,sunny-,cloudy-and stormyweather. In summer there are several positive things · A warm weather and a light wind.So you do not need to put on many clothes. · We have lovely beaches and there is only sand no rocks.the water is cool and you can swim in it very well. · In winter we have white and soft snow that is very beautiful.It covers the streets and the building tops. However,there are many things that not might like us about weather · The winters are cold and you need to put many clothes on.As well as you have to watch out that you could not get cold. · In autumn there is raining very much and mud is quite everywhere.You need to watch that you sould not get muddy and you need to carry umbrella sometimes with you. Firstly the main difference between literature and theatre is that if you read a book, you have to imagine the whole image in your head and thus everybody sees one thing differently, but in theatre you have a real live picture in front of you. Also in books the feelings, thoughts and emotions are described better than in theatre performances. Secondly, in theatre performances you can only see one stage and one place but in movies the situations are depicted in various places, for example on streets and other places, which can not be depicted on a stage so easily. In addition to that, in books all the situations are decribed in very small details and that is a really big advantage of reading books. In movies and thatre all situations are generalized and short. In my opinion it is the best thing about books and because of that, i quite like reading. Nowadays, most of the people have their own car. Most of them say that they can´t live without it.Many environmentalists opinion is that cars should be banned in city centers. I support this view for a variety of reasons. First and the most important thing is the pollution. Using cars increase the level of pollution in big city centers. This is especially important because town centers always consist of tall buildings and narrow streets which often hold the pollution in one spot.Global warming is big problem all around the world. So, people should use public transport instead of their own car, if they do think about the nature and the air they breathe every second. Secondly, with less traffic there would be fewer accidents. Nowadays many people, especially younger persons, die in the car accidents every week. When we reduce the number of cars in city centers we can avoid these kind of disastrous.

Arguments for and against it are based on moral, practical, religious and emotional groups. Estonia is a quite young country with painful history but I think we've been strong and kept our heads up. We may have a little country but it doesn't mean that the people are small too. The Estonians are more self-confident than you can ever imagine. We have many talented people, especially athletes like Markko Märtin, Marko Asmer, Kaia Kanepi, Andrus Veerpalu and Mart Poom. We love sports and working out is a part of our lives, that's why you don't see almost any overweight people in the streets. We are reputed to be quite stubborn, I don't think that's true about our stereotype. I do think that we're too reserved. We're too tense all the time and don't really go with it when somebody is trying to make us laugh. It takes a little time until we warm up and start to communicate. Somehow we tend to make jokes on ourselves. Then you may realize, that you can really have fun with us.

all, there are many opportunities to spend your free time. There are theatres, shopping centres, galleries and entertainment places. In a big city there are also hospitals and schools nearby. Also it is much easier to find a job in a big city, because there are many companies, which are located in a central city. Of course, public transport in a big city is much more comfortable, than in a countryside. There are also many disadvantages of living in a big city. In the morning the streets are crowded, because everybody has to go to work and they only use cars or public transport, which means that there are traffics. Sometimes it's hard to get from one place to another, because it takes hours! Also there are many crimes and violence at night, so you have to be careful. To sum up i think that i rather live in the city and when i feel, that i need to relax, then i just go to the countryside and take some time alone.
