REPORT To: Mr Jones From: Mari Mets Date: 24.02.2021 Subject: Students exercise preferences Purpose The aim of the report is to compare how the students' taste of exercises have
changed in 5 years time and to give some recommendations for the sports
centre, which equipment and training opportunities to include in the future. 2010 Five years ago, the most popular sport with the same percentage of students was
for males -  weightlifting (45%) and for females - pilates or yoga. On the other
hand, the least popular sports for girls was weightlifting (15%) and for boys yoga
or pilates (20%). More or less the same percentage (35-40%) of pupils prefer to
do swimming. 2015 Today, the percentage of people and popularity of weightlifting and pilates/yoga
has remained the same. The amount of swimmers have decreased, only 20% of
boys and girls preferred that. 20% more schoolgirls started to prefer
weightlifting, meanwhile almost the same percentage (35%) of boys started to
select yoga and pilates. Explanations of changes As it can be seen, more students are more into weightlifting, since gyms have
become more popular and people like to see the results after workout faster.
There are still people who like to swim, but the numbers are getting lower every
year. Seems like the pupils are feeling more equal while doing sports as we look
at the numbers of both boy and girl students, who preferred to do yoga and
pilates. Recommendations I truly believe that the new sports centre should have a big fully equipped gym
for all the students, who would like to do some weightlifting and work out on the
machines. The centre should also have a separate floor or room with more
privacy and silence for pilates and yoga training. And even though not much
people prefer swimming to others, I think there also should be a place for
swimmers, and why not a sauna, just to relax after a hard workout.

ENGLISH TOPICS - palju teemasid inglise keele riigieksami kordamiseks

British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home. So it is difficult to a good English restaurant with a reasonable prices. In most cities in Britain you'll find Indian, Chinese, French and Italian restaurants. In London you'll also find Indonesian,

In my opinion, the solution to this problem is to reduce the amount of tasks. To sum up, there are many sources of stress in young people's lives, which affect theirs ability to be positive. But it is important to bear in mind that there are also solutions to avoid stress. Catherine Cram. It's also wonderful for your upper body and strength. New ballroom dancers may feel muscles they didn't know they had. Ballroom dancing works the backs of the thighs and buttock muscles differently from many other types of exercise, tells Ken Richards. The legs and arms often do the flashy dance moves. But they're sunk without a strong body core. The core muscles, abs and back, are also used in Pilates, says Janice Byer. [5] A report by Professor Tim Watson and Dr Andrew Garrett, from the University of Hertfordshire, compared members of the Royal Ballet with a squad of British national and international swimmers. In seven out of ten areas of fitness, dancers scored higher than swimmers. Dancing in general increases muscle strength and flexibility, which in turn, improves overall range of motion. It also increases core strength which can improve balance, coordination, and posture. [6]

SPORT In English the word ‘sport’ describes both casual play and the highest levels of performance. Recent surveys reveal that 10% of adults play sports more than twice a week, the majority of the British population involves in sport or physical recreation at least once a month. Most people have an interest in some sports as a player, spectator or gambler, but everybody in Britain seems to be fond of outdoor exercise, be it jogging, walking, rambling or just sitting on the bench outdoors. As British homes are rather cool in winter (at least for Estonians!), the saying goes that ‘the English like fresh air outdoors and indoors’. Most people are conscious of the good influence of sport on their health. They expect a lot from it – having an attractive body shape, strengthening their hearts, lowering their blood pressure and reducing stress. To keep fit or just to relax, most people in towns involve themselves
