The order of the Holy Ghost, founded by Pope Innocentius III (1198-1216) and headed by Rome, concentrated in the Catholic World on the establishment of hospitals and poorhouses, known as the Holy Ghost hospices. There were already 180 such establishments in France as early as at the end of the 13th century. One hundred year later, Germany could boast with 130 hospices and their total number was approximately 900. The Tallinn Holy Ghost Church was built as a hospice church beside the Holy Ghost hospice. The hospice operated successfully for centuries, but its activity began to fade after the Lutheran reformation in the 16 th century, partly also due to the construction of the new hospice in the vicinity, and was completely closed down in 1620. The first written records considerind the Holy Ghost Church date back to 1316 and mention a clergyman of the church in connection with a monetary donation. Records from
coping, how they manage with their everyday activities, etc. An individual care plan is prepared for the patient of the basis of the results of such an assessment. If a patient who needs care does not have the support of a family, they will be offered help in finding a nursing home or given nursing care. A geriatrics team has been created for these assessments and this team consists of a doctor, a nurse and a social worker. The East Tallinn Central Hospital does currently not have a hospice, but the need for one is there. Due to its specific features, the number of deaths in the Long-Term Nursing Clinic is high, which should not be regarded in a purely negative light. "Death is as natural as birth and we should be paying more attention to it," says Dr. Raivo Kolle, Head of the Long-Term Nursing Centre. Selle kuulsaimateks esindajateks olid Flémalle’i meister, kelle tööd identsed Robert Campini (1378- 1444) omadega. Campin oli hea kolorist ja peenmaalija, hea siseruumide kujutamisel. Lõuna- Madalmaade tuntuimaks meistriks oli aga Rogier van der Weyden (1400-1464), kes rikastas Madalmaade kunsti uute vormide ja dramaatilisema sisuga.
