Keskmise temperatuuri tõus erinevate aastate vältel võib olulisel määral mõjutada nahkhiirte käitumist. Sellest tulenevalt suureneb vajadus uurida nahkhiirte talvitumise eripärasid. Uuringute jätkamisega Laagri talvituspaigas on võimalik saada uusi teadmisi nahkhiirte talvituspaikade ning nende säilitamise võimaluste kohta. 6 Abundance of bats in Laagri hibernation place during hibernation periods 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 Mariliis Samberk Summary Seven of the twelve bat species listed in Estonia are local: Myotis dasycneme, Myotis daubentonii, Myotis mystacinus, Myotis brandtii, Myotis nattereri, Plecotus auritus and Eptesicus nilssonii. Hibernating places are an important habitat for bats due to Estonian climate conditions. The biggest bat hibernacula in Estonia are Piusa

Unlike deer, both the male and female have antlers. The antlers of the male are long, branched and massive, and they are a little flattened at the ends. The antlers of the female are much shorter, simpler and more slender and irregular. Their large, spreading hooves support the animal in snow in the winter and marshy tundra in the summer. Reindeer are also great swimmers and use their feet as paddles. They can also lower their metabolic rate and go into a semi-hibernation when conditions get very harsh. When it looks like there is nothing to eat on the winter tundra, reindeer will scrape the snow away with their wide feet or antlers and eat lichens, dried sedges and small shrubs. In the summer they the will eat leaves of willows, sedges, flowering plants, mushrooms. Reindeer are social animals and live in huge herds, which will often have several thousand animals in it. Males are often loners, until its time to mate.
When leaves fall, there is less cover for animals in this biome to hide from predators. Temperate rainforest- The animals use most of the fall to prepare for the merciless winter season. The animals that leave during the winter, including songbirds and some butterflies, migrate south for a warmer and sunnier winter. Some animals that do stay in the temperate forest avoid the winter by hibernating, or sleeping. All of these animals prepare for hibernation by eating large amounts of food during the summer and fall seasons. They gain enough fat so that they can survive hibernating during the winter and not be emaciated when they wake up. Animals, like ground squirrels, marmots, ground hogs, and other small mammals, make underground burrows and hibernate until the spring or warmer weather arrives. When these animals hibernate their body temperatures can drop near freezing. Their hearts also slow so much that they are barely alive

Klõpsa ikoonil Performance and Maintenance ja edasi ikoonil Power Options. Vali aknast Power Options Properties sobivad väärtused ja katseta neid. Selle akna lehelt Hibernate võid valida mälu sisu kõvakettale salvestamise võimaluse, märgistades kontrollkasti Enable hibernation. Kui arvutit pole määratud aja jooksul kasutatud "suigub see talveunne". Kettale kirjutatava info maht on võrdne arvuti mälu mahuga. Pooleliolev tähtis fail tuleks igaks juhuks salvestada
miserable as you are in order to feed on their negative emotional reactions. In most people, the pain-body has a dormant and an active stage. When it is dormant, you easily forget that you carry a heavy dark cloud or a dormant volcano inside you, depending on the energy field of your particular pain-body. How long it remains dormant varies from person to person: A few weeks is the most common, but it can be a few days or months. In rare cases the pain-body can lie in hibernation for years before it gets triggered by some event. HOW THE PAIN-BODY FEEDS ON YOUR THOUGHTS The pain-body awakens from its dormancy when it gets hungry, when it is time to replenish itself. Alternatively, it may get triggered by an event at any time. The pain-body that is ready to feed can use the most insignificant event as a trigger, something somebody says or does, or even a thought. If you live alone or there is nobody around at the time, the pain-body will feed on your thoughts
"Of course," he said, and his tone mirrored mine, "we have to be careful not to impact the environment with injudicious hunting. We try to focus on areas with an overpopulation of predators -- ranging as far away as we need. There's always plenty of deer and elk here, and they'll do, but where's the fun in that?" He smiled teasingly. "Where indeed," I murmured around another bite of pizza. "Early spring is Emmett's favorite bear season -- they're just coming out of hibernation, so they're more irritable." He smiled at some remembered joke. "Nothing more fun than an irritated grizzly bear," I agreed, nodding. He snickered, shaking his head. "Tell me what you're really thinking, please." "I'm trying to picture it -- but I can't," I admitted. "How do you hunt a bear without weapons?" "Oh, we have weapons." He flashed his bright teeth in a brief, threatening smile. I fought back a shiver before it could expose me
