Of monsters and men Of Monsters and Men is a five-piece indie folk/indie pop band from Iceland, formed in 2010. The band won an annual battle of the bands competition in Iceland in 2010, that was the start of Of monsters and men. The members are co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" órhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir (born May 6, 1989) is the lead vocalist and guitarist, along with Ragnar "Raggi" órhallsson, of the Icelandic indie folk band Of Monsters and Men. Before Of Monsters and Men had been established, Nanna had a solo musical project called Songbird and was a video store clerk.
CD review A CD I recently listened was A rush of blood to the head by a band called Coldplay. They are an alternative rock band formed in London, England on 16 January 1998. The group comprises vocalist/pianist/guitarist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Will Champion. Being their second album, A rush of blood to the head was released in 2002. The album has several popular singles such as "In My Place", "Clocks", and the ballad "The Scientist." It also won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2003 Grammy Awards. This is my favourite CD, because you forget everything that surrounds you while you listen to it
