open up these lavish rooms to the public. In 1993 the Royal family took the massive decision to open Buckingham Palace to tourists and the public as a way to increase income for the Royal household. Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. About 400 people work at the Palace, including domestic servants, chefs, footmen, cleaners, plumbers, gardeners, chauffers, electricians, and two people who look after the 300 clocks. At the rear of the palace, is the large and park-like garden which, together with its lake, is the largest private garden in London. Here the Queen hosts her annual garden parties each summer, and also holds large functions to celebrate royal milestones, such as jubilees. It covers 40 acres, and includes a helicopter landing area, a lake, and a tennis court.

Referaat "Chelsea Flower Show"

...................................................................................26 4 Foreword "I think that the Great Marquee had a sense of excitement: visitors would enter it expectantly, as if they were unwrapping a Christmas present." Head of Shows Development Bob Sweet Chelsea is, definitely, an event most gardeners love to visit and remember long afterwards. But why it is so? I have read lot about that Show. Everybody seems to be like this, even if there are lots of not so good things. First I thought it could be very nice way to spend day with family but Chelsea is not a family day out and they take care in targeting the garnering market. There is no discount for children, no family tickets, no children's play areas. Exhibitions want

6 creatures that creep and crawl upon the earth, likewise in your souls vegetative, some plants have the same inclination and disposition, that without the interposition of any other thing they be planted in some little distance one of another, and it is determined and agreed upon by the general consent of your gardeners and husbandmen, to be male and female. How can you answer this, Parmeno? Now my pretty little fool, you mad wag, my soul's sweet genius, [angel], my pearl, my jewel, my honest poor silly lad, my pretty little monkey-face, come hither, you little whoreson; alack, how I pity thy simplicity! thou knowest nothing of the world nor of its delights. Let me run mad and die in that fit, if I suffer thee to come near me, as old as I am

Sunflower

the olive product. During the 18th Century, the use of sunflower oil became very popular in Europe, particularly with members of the Russian Orthodox Church because sunflower oil was one of the few oils that was not prohibited during Lent. The cake remaining after the seeds have been processed for oil is used as a livestock feed. Some recently developed cultivars have drooping heads. These cultivars are less attractive to gardeners growing the flowers as ornamental plants, but appeal to farmers, because they reduce bird damage and losses from some plant diseases. There are also new breeds of sunflowers which are transgenic, so that they are resistant to some diseases.[citation needed] Sunflowers also produce latex and are the subject of experiments to improve their suitability as an alternative crop for producing hypoallergenic rubber. Additionally, the stem of a dead sunflower can dry out open wounds.[citation needed]
