are those who are not benefiting from the way things are presently structured. Those most resistant to change are those who are benefiting from the present system, and who therefore stand to lose if things were to change. Crisis or Foresight Management? The choice before us is either to be proactive or reactive. A reactive person is one who is overwhelmed and threatened by the challenge of diversity and change, and reacts with a defensive posture. The proactive person, on the other hand, anticipates change by putting into play behaviors which turn problems into challenges. Let me propose a new model of management, "Foresight Management," for bringing about change (see graphic). We all go through experiences in life. The word "experience" is a good term since it is value neutral, as opposed to the word "problem" that is negative, or "challenge" that is positive. As Aldous Huxley once declared, "Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him

could concentrate for him all the brightness and meaning of life. It was she. It was Kitty." Levin again realizes his most sincere feelings are stemming from his heart, not his brain. There is no time to analyze; his heart has told him what he needs to do. Incidentally, right before he sees Kitty, Levin meets a young married couple who are very much in love. He realizes that the harmony and synchronicity they share is exactly what he is missing in his life. Not coincidentally, this is what he anticipates with Kitty. Chapters 12-23 Karenin is at his wit's end with his wife's affair and doesn't quite know how to handle knowing that his wife is an adulteress. He considers both challenging Vronsky to a fight and divorcing Anna. He decides against both of those options, going instead with what will be the easiest: pretending in public that everything is fine between him and his wife. He decides that this option will cause Anna the most grief anyway
the players' utterances do not refer to things external to the game; they are only moves in the game. But then it seems even more obvious that the game is not even the beginning of an actual language, and that the moves do not have meaning in the same way that utterances of English sentences do. So the "use" theorist's explicit conditions are not sufficient for something's being a language. Second reply Waismann (1965a: 158) anticipates an objection of this kind. He hints at a competing reply: that genuine language-games are "integrat[ed] . . . into life." By contrast, the parlor-game words, like chess moves and tennis shots, "bear a far less close relation to life than words used in earnest." A language-game cannot be encapsulated, something that we keep at arm's length and play just when we feel like it. Rejoinder But some language-games, such as the telling of shaggy-dog jokes, are
