Ansambel on lisaks Eestile väga populaarne Saksamaal ja Sveitsis. 2005. aasta Eurovisiooni lauluvõistlusel esindas Vanilla Ninja Sveitsi lauluga "Cool vibes". 3 Ansambli ajalugu Bänd sai alguse aastal 2002, mil Sven Lõhmus juba varem casting'i teel leitud lauljatele Piretile ja Katrinile lisas juurde Eesti Eurovisiooni eelvoorus silma jäänud lauljatari Maarja ja tema kooliõe, konkursil Fizz Superstar osalenud Lenna. Bändi muusikaliseks stiiliks sai pop-rokk.
