POEM - The months

POEM The months. January brings the snow, Makes our feet and fingers glows. February brings the rains, Thaws the frozen lake again. March brings breezes sharp and chill, Shakes the dancing daffodil. April brings the primrose sweet, Scatters daisies at our feet. May brings flocks of pretty lambs, Sporting round their fleecy dams. June brings tulips, lilies, rose, Fills the children's hands with posies. Hot July brings thundershowers, Apricots, and gillyflowers. August brings the sheaves of corn; Then the harvest home is borne. Warm September brings the fruit; Sportsmen then begin to shoot. Brown October brings the pheasant, Then to gather nuts is pleasant.

Character sketch - Tom Bunchanan, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

happy. Tom knows that he has won and to taunt Gatsby he lets Gatsby and Daisy ride together back to East Egg. Tom doesn't seem to care much that his mistress was killed but he seizes the opportunity to hurt Gatsby. He tells vengeful George Wilson who is the owner of the car Tom drove earlier and because of that George goes and shoots Gatsby killing him instantly. After that Tom and Daisy move away and don't come back for Gatsby's funeral. When Nick encounters Tom in New York he reluctantly shakes hands with Tom because Nick is mad that Gatsby died because of Tom. ,,I couldn't forgive him or like him, but I saw that what he had done was, to him, entirely justified. It was all very careless and confused. They were careless people, Tom and Daisy -- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made. . . ."

Essay living forever

around forever would be the experience gained during this eternity. Anything and everything on our list of "to-do" could be completed - whether that would be traveling to far-off destinations and around the world, experiencing exotic tastefull foods or sleeping 20 hours a day. Another positive , at least for most people , would be the ability to experience the future. An eternal being could experience the future technologies. With each new discovery that shakes the fields of science, we would be there. Learning, educating and absorbing information daily takes up lots of time. With a life of eternity, we could learn endlessly. We could learn as many languages as we wanted and we could read every book that has ever been on our "to-do" lists. On the other side, one would have to factor in the mental part of immortality when one chooses physical immortality. The impact on human society would be another disadvantage

The Cataclysmic Death of Stars

Researchers found that less than a thousandth of a second after the shock wave is generated, a flood of tiny, nearly massless particles called neutrinos escapes from the center of the star. The neutrinos, born in the collapsing core, drain energy from the shock wave. The shock stalls, and-- at least in the computer--the supernova is a dud. Now Burrows and his colleagues are working with a computer model powerful enough to simulate how the core shakes and churns during the collapse, and they've finally seen how a collapsing star could turn around and explode. The turbulent infalling gas starts shaking the core, causing it to pulsate. Raining down from the star's outer layers, the gas wraps around the core, dancing over its surface and penetrating its depths. "The core is oscillating, and the stuff falling onto the core is exciting it," says Burrows. In about eight-tenths of a second, the oscillations are so intense they send out sound waves

Detering is particularly horrified because he is a farmer and loves horses. After the wounded men are gathered, those in charge of shooting the wounded animals do their job. Detering declares with disgust that using horses in war is the "vilest baseness." As the trucks drive the men back, Kat becomes restless. A flurry of bombs then lands around them. The men take cover in a nearby graveyard. Paul crawls under an uncovered coffin for protection. Kat shakes him from behind to tell him to put his gas mask on. After he dons his mask, Paul helps a new recruit put his on. He then dives into a hole created by an exploding shell, reasoning that shells seldom hit the same place twice. Kat and Kropp join him. Paul takes a breath on the valve of the mask, hoping that the mask is airtight. Later, Paul climbs out and sees a soldier not wearing his mask who appears to be okay. Paul tears his mask off and gulps fresh air. The shelling has stopped

Here's the kicker: One of these meals has to be eaten every three hours while you're awake, and you must eat within one hour of waking and one hour of bed. Hunger is no longer the driver for food intake. Tupperware is your friend, and the clock is your drill sergeant. Skipping meals is not permitted, so purchase in bulk and prep food in advance if needed. If you weigh less than 150 pounds, use the lower end of protein intake at four ounces protein (or 30 grams for protein shakes) and have smaller portions for the add-ons: a quarter-cup of nuts or one tablespoon of peanut butter or one tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) or macadamia oil. Eat one of these meals every three waking hours: Option 1: 50 grams of whey protein isolate + half a cup of nuts or two tablespoons of peanut butter peanut butter Option 2: eight ounces of cooked, white, nonfatty fish (no salmon, mackerel, etc.) + half a cup of nuts or two tablespoons of peanut butter

Rock, enslaved the animals, and tried to take her as his mate. She pleads with him to return and take his rightful place as king. Haunted by his guilt and unsure of his strength, Simba hesitates. Like many heroes, he isn't eager to leave the pleasures of the SPECIAL WORLD. But his father's spirit appears (like the ghost of Hamlet's father in Act One of "Hamlet") and urges him to face his destiny. In Act Three, Simba shakes off his guilt, returns to Pride Rock, and confronts Scar. A fierce battle breaks out. Simba's "manhood"and right to be king are put to the ultimate test. Simba's ALLIES come to his aid, and Scarfalls from power with a touch of poetic justice, echoing the way he allowed Mufasa to fall to his death. Simba takes hisfather's place and "The Circle of Life" continues. As the presentation concluded, it wasn't difficult to see the Hero's Journey elements
