Jõutreening Lihaste treenimine parandab lihaste jõudu, kiirendab ainevahetust, aitab organismil ära kasutada suuremat energiahulka, suurendab organismi insuliinitundlikkust, vähendab liigese- ja seljavalusid ning tugevdab luustikku. Lihaseid saab treenida vastupanuharjutustega. Selleks sobivad jõusaaliseadmed, kummilint, pallid või teised vahendid ning teatud võimlemisharjutused ja -treeningud, nt ringtreening, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Sculpt jt. Jõutreeninguid tuleks alustada professionaali käe all. Jõutreeninguga tuleb alustada kerge koormusega, tehes igat harjutust 8-15 korda, 1-2 seeriana. Seeriate vahel on oluline teha pause 15-60 sekundit.
