Strategies of creating a dominant party – the case of UR

We are a party of consolidation of all healthy forces in society, free of ideological bias" (Colton and McFault 2003: 57-58). Assumedly, in this context, "healthy forces" referred to the support for Putin and his government. It is clear, that the leadership has become the main key in granting party support (Smyth et al. 2007: 124). For example during the 2007 Duma elections campaign, United Russia openly demonstrated its loyalty to president Putin by manifesting ,,Vote for Putin's plan!", while its position on major policy issues remained questionable (Gel'man 2008: 921). In this light, United Russia can definitely be seen as a leader-oriented, de-ideologized catch-all party. Secondly, it is also important for a dominant party to mobilize key socio-economic groups. On one hand, dominant party needs to focus on groups that will make fewer demands than others or that will give a maximum political payoff for minimum effort. However, in order to

These products should, ideally, function out of the box and require minimal assistance from Lee IS to be taken into use by any given company in any given country. OO2: Sell some clients to another companies As it is becoming apparent that support of some lines of business and certain projects is no longer well-justified and employees' skills and expert knowledge would be more efficiently applied elsewhere, the pressing need to drop these projects and LOBs is manifesting itself. Not only the time spared by such a disposal would be a major gain of potential for Lee IS and would allow it to focus on more promising projects and clients, but the immediate influx of monetary resources would be a material advantage to initiation of OO1 conversion. OO3: Tuning appearances Lee IS image would benefit a lot from modernization. Superficiality of human nature is such that oftentimes the visual aspects of company's representation can be crucial in cultivation of

ground for the growth of the Estonian national movement in the second half of the 19th century. It should be kept in mind, however, that the Moravian movement never involved more than a fraction of the Estonian peasantry, and its regional penetration varied greatly. The latter took issue with the unregulated legislation between the Moravian congregation and the church. After the initial widespread awakening movement, manifesting several religious and social- revolutionary extremes (e.g. ecstatic sermons at meetings in Saaremaa and Võrumaa, in southeast Estonia, demanding Christian equality between peasants and landlords), from 1743 the Moravian congregation was officially forbidden for a long time. Enlightenment and enlightened absolutism After Pietism and the Moravian movement, the next spiritual trend to arrive in Estonia was the Enlightenment. Its ideas were propagated in the Baltic provinces by the German

You forgot your main purpose. One small error, one misperception, creates a world of suffering. Through the present moment you have access tot he power of life itself, that which has traditionally been called “God.” As soon as you turn away form it, God ceases to be a reality in your life, and and all you are left with is the mental concept of God, which some people believe in and others deny. Even belief in God is only a poor substitute for the living reality of God manifesting every moment of your life. Would complete harmony with the present moment not imply the cessation of all movement? Doesn't the existence of any goal imply that there is a temporary disruption in that harmony with the present moment and perhaps a reestablishment of harmony at a higher or more complex level once the goal has been attained? I imagine that the sapling that pushes its way through the soil can't be in total harmony with the present moment

M e r l i n is a surrogate parent to the young King Arthur, whose father is dead. M a n y heroes seek out Mentors because their own parents are inadequate role models. DRAMATIC FUNCTIONS TEACHING Just as learning is an important function of the hero, teaching or training is a key function of the Mentor. Training sergeants, drill instructors, professors, trail bosses, parents, grandparents, crusty old boxing coaches, and all those who teach a hero the ropes, are manifesting this archetype. O f course the teaching can go both ways. Anyone who has taught knows that you learn as much from your students as they do from you. GIFT-GIVING Giving gifts is also an important function of this archetype. In V l a d i m i r Propp's analysis of Russian fairy tales, Morphology of the Folktale, he identifies this function as that of a "donor" or provider: one who temporarily aids the hero, usually by giv ing some gift
