üles Brooki ahelik Brooki ahelik sirutub üle kogu Põhja-Alaska, Tsuktsi merest Yukoni piirni. Kõrguse on keskmine kasvab kirde suunas 2200-2800 m. Kõrgemad sopid on jää ja lumega kaetud suurema osa aastast. Selle suure ala iseloomulikeimaks tunnuseks on vaikus, kuna ainsad hääled tulevad tippude vahel ulguvatest tuultest. Hundid ja põhjapõdrad on peamisteks asukateks. Brooki aheliku kõrgeimaks tipuks on Mount Isto (2762 m). üles Chugachi ahelik Chugachi ahelik moodustab 540 kilomeetrise ahela Ancorage'ist idasja Wrangelli mägedest läänes. Chugachi aheliku ilm sõltub tema kaldalähedasest asendist ja siin sajab rohkem lund kui kuasgil mujal maailmas - üle 1500 cm. Mäed on paksu metsa all. Läänepool ei ärata tipud mägironijates suurt tähelepanu oma madaluse tõttu - keskmiselt vähem kui 2100 m. Chugachi kõrgemad tipud asuvad aheliku kesk- ja lääneosa vahel.
