Imagination will make us infinite

If you’re having a bad day, it could truly be your only weapon against reality. It can take you back on a vacation or it can fast-forward to an event that hasn’t even taken place yet. With imagination, it gives us the ultimate freedom, the power to choose, the power to change and the power to advance. Just imagine for a second that you had a superpower of your choosing. You could have super strenght, immortality, invisibility, you name it. The only limiting factor is yourself. I know everybody has thought about this at one point in his life. It isn’t hard and once you can imagine it and imagine how it works. Then how far is reality from it? Did you know that most of lifes advancements have come thanks to imagination. Without Newton imagining some force pulling donw the apple, would he have discovered gravity or would smartphone be so relevant today, if Steve jobs wasn’t innovative. Would we have such

The 11th Chapter in Kuhn’s ‘The Structure of Scientific Revolutions’ is titled ‘The Invisibility of Scientific Revolutions’. In this chapter Kuhn revisits the themes developed in earlier chapters. He explains that the celebrated scientific revolutions that he uses as examples are selected solely that the reader is already familiar with them. Kuhn suggests in this chapter that revolutions are invisible because of historical revisionism in science textbooks. His argument runs along the following lines. Firstly assuming that scientists and laypeople use

were given some gifts by their M e n t o r s , but a m o n g the Greeks the most gifted o f heroes was Perseus. PERSEUS T h e Greek ideal of heroism was expressed in Perseus, the monster-slayer. H e has the distinction of being one of the best equipped of heroes, so loaded down with gifts from higher powers that it's a wonder he could walk. In time, with the help of Mentors such as Hermes and Athena, he acquired winged sandals, a magic sword, a helmet o f invisibility, a magic sickle, a magic mirror, the head o f M e d u s a that turned all who look upon it to stone, and a magic satchel to stow the head in. As i f this were not enough, the movie version o f the Perseus tale, Clash of the Titans, gives h i m the flying horse Pegasus as well. In most stories, this would be overdoing it a bit. But Perseus is meant to be a paragon of heroes, so it's fitting he should be so well provided for by the gods, his Mentors in the quest.

The 4-Hour Body - An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman - Timothy Ferriss

During his annual checkup, his doctor declared that he might live forever. The physical changes were incredible, but the curious side e ects of the program were the strongest incentives to continue. As my dad explained: It's very odd. I used to feel like the invisible man, but now people more readily ask my opinion and take me more seriously. I went from not being noticed to being noticed. Quite apart from the aesthetic and performance bene t, there's a huge social bene t. I lost my invisibility. Also, after losing 50 or 60 pounds and doing what you once thought impossible, you start to see the other "impossibles"--doubling income in 12 months or whatever--as "possibles." This book is a Trojan horse full of unexpected transfers. It's intended to make you a better all-around human. It's also intended to make you a role model for those around you. Partial Completeness Most of us have resigned ourselves to a partial completeness, just as Chad Fowler did before
