Ideal Businessman

Trust and honesty are two very important qualities for an ideal businessman. If people don't trust you or don't feel comfortable as your customers, they usually turn to another company and you may lose a very big client. We all know that there are no ideal people in the world, but we still keep trying to become one. All what we really need to do is to give our best and hope that it is enough. Even an ideal businessman makes mistakes, because it is vey hard to be perfect and idealistic all the time. I think that some miner mistakes are always allowed.

and then of Clélia herself causes Fabrice to retire to the Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, of Parma, where he dies. The incongruous yet always harmonious combination of lyricism and high comedy, of realism and dreamlike atmosphere, of The Charterhouse of Parma allows the author to caricaturize the petty tyranny of post-Napoleonic Europe, to question public morality, and to assert the prerogatives of love's follies. There are subtly drawn portraits of the naive and idealistic young Fabrice del Dongo (notably at the Battle of Waterloo); of his courageous and passionate aunt, the Duchess de Sanseverina; of her lover, the benevolent Machiavellian statesman Count Mosca; and of the young and innocent Clélia Conti, the daughter of Fabrice's jailer, who falls in love with the handsome prisoner. Passion in all its forms is the novel's recurrent theme. And once again, the young hero learns the

Turkey and the European Union

Turkey is not only a ,,demanding" party vis-à-vis the EU. It also wants to contribute. It has the features that can ease Europe, on the verge of yet another edge, to leap to the next stage. In this respect, Turkey has a request from the EU not just for itself but also for the future of Europe and the whole world. In a sense, Turkey says ,,if you want an easier shift, we have to stick together". (Laciner, S., Özcan, M. & Ihsan, B., 2005) This statement might sound too naive and idealistic. But when looking at Turkish history, at their weakest and strongest times, Turkeys have turned towards Europe, wanting to be a part of it. Even after the Crusades, Turks' motion towards Europe was not bent on destruction, but aimed at unification and contribution. In a process that lasted for centuries, Turkey has a peculiar experience between East and West. In a sense, it can be said that Turkey is a laboratory. This peculiar experience, combining the

ESTONIAN SYMPHONIC MUSIC. THE FIRST CENTURY 1896-1996.

The First Symphony belongs to the treasury of Estonian classical symphonic music. Paying homage to Aavik, Mrs. Juta Kurman stated at the festive concert meeting in the New York Estonian House in January, 1979: Aavik’s music has its own profile, it is clear and elegiac, trying to offer a harmonious language among the restless extremes of the present time, consoling the soul but, first of all, giving aesthetic enjoyment. The silently idealistic mentality of Aavik does not need to be in originality, offering neither great drama, innovating dissonant revolution nor discovering novel idioms. The eloquence of his music is obtained from our homeland’s nature and people, from the heritage of our forefathers, from prayers and dreams. This is the musical speech of the composer called the Senior Bard.1 Another émigré in 1944 was Kaljo Raid (1921-2005), who had just graduated
