26.10. 15 Criticism • In mid-2013, before Ask.com bought Ask.fm, the site was the subject of several media articles regarding cyberbullying that have been linked to suicides. • However, some experts believe that the combination of offline contacts who know each other well, and the availability of online anonymity is a toxic mix that will inevitably lead to problems for some users. 26.10. 15 Site Users • The whole world is using this site. 26.10. 15 Thanks for listening 26.10. 15

Dangers As we see ICTs have many advantages, but there is always the other side. There are dangers that one must be aware of. For example one must remember that everything that is once on internet will always be there. Your future employer can see the pictures that you have uploaded to Facebook and other sites like this. And I think that it is bad to share too much personal information online. You will never know who might abuse it and how it's done. There is a lot of anonymity online. That's a danger too because it seems that you can say everything and there will be no punishment but actually it is not like that at all. If there is insulting or threatening online there is a way to find out who did it. There are many children online. So they are threatened too. There are many predators who might claim to be someone that they are not and make friends with children. Then when children trust them they might make them send inappropriate pictures or what's even worse

Chat rooms

The first and most important thing you need to realize about the Internet is that you can find anything and anyone on the Internet that you can find in the real world. The only difference is that in the Internet you have a greater deal of anonymity that you get in the real world. Can chat rooms be dangerous? Most definitely. Particularly channels that clearly are catering to younger children. Pedophiles go where the kids are, and that is just as true on the Internet as in the "real world". Does that mean you should avoid all chat channels? Not at all. Just be aware of what you are doing and saying, and if you have small children, be sure to monitor their activity on the Internet.

communication. It is no secret that people spending too much time online start to change. This often occurs with children. Their grades and social life deteriorates, because of forums and such take up extended amounts of their time. Also they can get themselves into trouble, because they think they are anonymous and because of that, they are doing things they should not do, for example being racist in the wrong place. Actually, there is no anonymity on the internet. Certain authorities can always find you. But the poor children don't know that and they can ruin their lives just by writing some wrong words in wrong order. We have many examples of this occurring in real life, for example the recent bomb threats in some schools of Tartu. The same children who communicate too much over the Internet also may forget how to communicate in real life, with real people. Overall, they are enjoying themselves, but with what price

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest

Unfortunately Larsson did not live to see the phenomenon his work has become. Sweden has already produced a trilogy of films based on the novels, and now Hollywood is doing the same. Characters *Lisbeth Salander the headcharacter in the book. She is outsider and apparently enemy of society. The state has ruled that she is mentally unstable and has a trustee to help her manage her duties. Salander doesn't really care what others think of her. In fact, she values the most her privacy and anonymity. She has no faith that the official justice system can help her. She just wanted to be left in peace. She had really difficult childhood, because his father was former Soviet spy and defected to Sweden and especially cruel towards the whole family. Mother wasn't enough strong to protect herself and kids from father. Lisbeth was the one who decided to take a step towards his dad. This brought a 13-year old kid to a mental hospital.

Using Blogs as a Platform in the TEFL

According to Hanlon (2009) although reflection had a positive effect on students learning performance it seemed to be higher ability students that embraced reflection. This again reiterates that critical reflection is a difficult skill and many scaffolds are required, in particular, to help those students of weaker ability. (Hanlon, 2009, pp. 6-7) Secondly, it can be said that one of the major concerns of blogs' usage for teaching classrooms is the anonymity on the Internet. According to the survey collected from the student teachers carried out by Yang (2009), the issue of revealing identity on the Internet remained a concern during the whole semester. Namely, students did not like having to criticise a peer's reflection, fearing it would damage friendships. Students are without doubt more comfortable with critiquing themselves than others, and therefore they must be taught how to give constructive criticism rather than just criticise (Yang, 2009)

This kind of research may have risks to participants because of the link between the disease and people's lives. If the genetic information is misused, it can cause problems for people, like not getting a job or insurance. The study should always be explained in plain words and participants must sign an informed consent paper. Confidentiality can be protected by coding information or by anonymizing the sample. This will protect the participant's anonymity, but it can also limit the scientific value of the study by preventing further investigation. Unexpected information may be revealed, that can harm the participant (unrevealed adoptions for example or when a person discovers through the study that he or she is carrying a particular gene for a genetic disorder). Cognitive level of analysis Outline principles that define the cognitive level of analysis. 1) Human beings are information processors and mental processes guide behavior.

11 I quickly clicked through other links in the digest to find the same picture with similar captions and articles. Alarmed, I sat back and thought about what this meant. If one kiss was headline news, what chance would Gideon and I have to make a relationship work? My hands weren't quite steady as I closed the browser tabs. I hadn't considered the press coverage, but I should have. "Damn it." Anonymity was my friend. It protected me from my past. It protected my family from embarrassment, and Gideon, too. I didn't even have any social networking accounts so people who weren't actively in my life couldn't find me. A thin, invisible wall between me and exposure was gone. "Hell," I breathed, finding myself in a painful situation I could have avoided if I'd dedicated any of my brain cells to something other than Gideon. There was also his reaction to this mess to consider..
