Queen of England and sometimes called The Virgin Queen, she was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty. The Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion are the historic defining statements of Anglican doctrine. They were passed during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The Articles highlight the Anglican positions with regards to the corruption of Catholic doctrine, to orthodox Roman Catholic teachings, to Puritanism, and to Anabaptist thought.
