Review Raamatust Dorian Gray

Wilde Kodumäe, Janne Form 11B This book tells the story of a beautiful young boy, called Dorian Gray, whose friend is an artist who paints a picture of him. Thanks to the artist, called Basil Hallward, Dorian meets with Lord Henry. Lord Henry tells him, that appearance and amusements are important in life and you shouldn't take anything seriously. Doria made a wish that he could be young forever like the picture of him. Dorian discovers that he's staying young and the picture of him is getting older. Thanks to aging picture and influence of Lord Herny, he's going to live vicious life. Lord Henry just wants to play with peolple and is interested in psychology, but in my point of view he isn't bad and he didn't now that he makes Dorian a bad man.

But then the Cinemascope was produced which made it possible to show films on a much wider screen and in colour. Television is probably the most common type of media. Lewis Carroll

At the age of seventeen, he suffered a severe attack of whooping cough, which was probably responsible for his chronically weak chest in later life. Another defect he carried into adulthood was what he referred to as his "hesitation", a stammer he acquired in early childhood and which plagued him throughout his life. At a time when people commonly devised their own amusements and when singing and recitation were required social skills, the young Dodgson was well equipped to be an engaging entertainer. He reportedly could sing tolerably well and was not afraid to do so before an audience. He was adept at mimicry and storytelling, and was reputedly quite good at charades. tantsuga tegeleda ja sellega oma tuju, meelerahu ja oskuseid paljudes erinevates aspektides tõsta. After the Stuarts the House of Hannover came to throne. The most important ruler of this time was Queen Victoria. During Queen Victoria's sixty-four year reign (1837-1901) the British Empire, led by an array of great statesmen and supported by great industrial expansion, grew to a size so vast that `the sun never sets upon it'. Victoria's long reign saw many changes in British constitutions and the British `way of life'. Her rejection of the amusements and life of the aristocracy enabled the common people to identify themselves with this simple wife and window, which led to a revival of popular support for the monarchy. She stressed the value of family and she had middle-class views and life-style. The House of Saxe-Coburg Gotha (the Windsors) are the rulers of Birtain from 1901 until now. The current queen is Elizabeth II. The United Kingdom is one of the most influential countries in the world. Its

"I have often observed how little young ladies are interested by books of a serious stamp, though written solely for their benefit. It amazes me, I confess; for, certainly, there can be nothing so advantageous to them as instruction. But I will no longer importune my young cousin." Mrs. Bennet and her daughters apologised most civilly for Lydia's interruption, and promised that it should not occur again, if he would resume his book; but Mr. Collins, after assuring them that he bore his young cousin no ill-will, and should never resent her behaviour as any affront, seated himself at another table with Mr. Bennet, and prepared for backgammon.
