Occupational diseases Report Introduction: This report is about occupational diseases. The report is based on two graphs. The first one describes the number of diseases from the year 1998 to the year 2000. The second one describes the occupations, which have shown to be the most alarming. The report will also give some pointers for the people, who have some kind of occupational diseases. Number of diseases: On the first graph is shown the number of occupational diseases. From the first half of the year 1998 to the middle of the year 1999 the number of occupational diseases grew from 169 to 180. The numbers started to grew rapidly in the middle of the year 1999 and it grew from 180 to 205 within just 1 year. So it is clearly shown that the number of diseases
this pandemic not only in China where it started, but also across the globe. When we look at the present situation, very many people are confined to their own homes. In Estonia, students can’t go to school normally, they have to stay behind the computer every day and it is very exhausting. Many parents have lost their jobs because of the virus. And still there are people who won’t listen to the government rules and spread the virus further. Secondly, global warming is increasing at an alarming rate with the progress in technology. In recent years, industrialization and extensive use of automobiles have been observed, and these developments have significantly raised the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Moreover, these gases like carbon dioxide and methane trap the sunlight and elevate the temperature of the earth. This change in temperature is not only responsible for global warming but also other associated problems of climate change and air pollution.
The report is based on the students' responses to the questionnaire administered by the school's doctor. Meals The survey have revealed that the students do not have enough meals. Only eight of those questioned eat before school, and half of them have their midday meal at school. Worryingly, as few as four students have both breakfast and school lunch. Still more disturbing is the fact that an alarming proportion--approximately onethird--of the students have neither. Eating brown bread Interestingly enough, bread, a good source of fiber, enjoys popularity among young people. 75 per cent of the students surveyed eat three or more slices of brown bread per day, with only a quarter of respondents restricting themselves to one or two slices. Eating fat As regards fat consumption, the majority of the students eat margarine. Four students prefer butter, and another four eat neither. Conclusion

et al. 2002). Soil microflora cycles carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur, plays a role in soil structure formation, decomposition of organic matter, toxin removal, promoting plant growth, and in changes in vegetation (Canbolat at al. 2005 and Martin et al. 2012). Therefore, soil microflora plays a major role in preservation and the balance of life. Because of active role of soil micro- population, the diminution in microbial activity is always alarming (Barabasz et al. 2002). Factors influencing soil microflora Soil microorganisms depend on soil for their nutrition, growth and activity. Based on My Agriculture Information Bank (2013) the major soil factors which influence the microbial population, distribution and their activity in the soil are: 1. Natural conditions (including soil fertility, pH, aeritation, temperature, moisture, organic matter, food and energy supply, microbial association and interactions) 2

In spite of this amendment, however, she requested to have a note sent to Longbourn, desiring her mother to visit Jane, and form her own judgement of her situation. The note was immediately dispatched, and its contents as quickly complied with. Mrs. Bennet, accompanied by her two youngest girls, reached Netherfield soon after the family breakfast. Had she found Jane in any apparent danger, Mrs. Bennet would have been very miserable; but being satisfied on seeing her that her illness was not alarming, she had no wish of her recovering immediately, as her restoration to health would probably remove her from Netherfield. She would not listen, therefore, to her daughter's proposal of being carried home; neither did the apothecary, who arrived about the same time, think it at all advisable. After sitting a little while with Jane, on Miss Bingley's appearance and invitation, the mother and three daughters all attended her into the breakfast parlour. Bingley met them with hopes that Mrs
My guess is that Chris' plastic ring would have been abandoned by the end of the day. Monkey Die Although we have already seen the powerful impact that social proof can have on human decision-making, to my mind, the most telling illustration of this impact starts with a seemingly nonsensical statistic: After a suicide has made front-page news, airplanes-private planes, corporate jets, airliners-begin falling out of the sky at an alarming rate. For example, it has been shown (Phillips, 1979) that immediately following cer- tain kinds of highly publicized suicide stories, the number of people who die in commercial-airline crashes increases by 1,000 percent! Even more alarming: The increase is not limited to airplane deaths. The number of automobile fatalities shoots up as well (Phillips, 1980). What could possibly be responsible?
Machine") but weaker. I don't want either to be out-of-range high. Bad for the manly arts. If you said "Holy sh*t!" when you saw the iron jump, we're in the same boat. This result was completely out of the blue and is not good, especially in men. It might come as a surprise, but men don't menstruate. This means that men lack a good method for clearing out excessive iron, which can be toxic.2 The increase in iron was far more alarming to me than the changes in cholesterol. Here is just one of several explanations from the research literature: In addition to contributing to metabolic abnormalities, the consumption of fructose has been reported to a ect homeostasis of numerous trace elements. Fructose has been shown to increase iron absorption in humans and experimental animals. Fructose intake [also] decreases the activity of the copper enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) and reduces the
smog and embraced by the short, rocky ridges that weren't really big enough to be called mountains. The shadows of the palm trees slanted across the freeway -- defined, sharper than I remembered, paler than they should be. Nothing could hide in these shadows. The bright, open freeway seemed benign enough. But I felt no relief, no sense of homecoming. "Which way to the airport, Bella?" Jasper had asked, and I flinched, though his voice was quite soft and un-alarming. It was the first sound, besides the purr of the car, to break the long night's silence. "Stay on the I-ten," I'd answered automatically. "We'll pass right by it." My brain had worked slowly through the fog of sleep deprivation. "Are we flying somewhere?" I'd asked Alice. "No, but it's better to be close, just in case." I remembered beginning the loop around Sky Harbor International... but not ending it. I suppose that must have been when I'd fallen asleep.

You can make the audience think they are seeing a conventional, kindly, helpful Mentor, and then reveal that the character is actually something quite different. Despite the reputation o f Hercules as a peerless hero, he has an alarming tendency to do harm to his Mentors. In addition to painfully wounding Chiron, Hercules got so frustrated at music lessons that he bashed in the head of his music teacher Lycus with the first lyre ever made. respectively frightened or convinced depends in part on you and is in no way guaranteed (much less constituted) by my utterance itself. Acts of frightening Speech acts and illocutionary force 149 and convincing are what Austin calls perlocutionary acts; they are things we do with words, but not in the same intimate sense as are illocutionary acts. Here are a few more examples of perlocutionary acts: alarming; amazing; amusing; annoying; boring; embarrassing; encouraging; deceiving; distract- ing; impressing; informing; inspiring; insulting; irritating; persuading. The Verification and Truth-Condition Theories of meaning identify a sentence's meaning with the sentence's propositional or locutionary content alone. But is not illocutionary force a kind of meaning? Certainly, if you do not understand distinctions of force, then there is an important aspect of language that you have not yet mastered
" "Because you're out trolling. I can't do anything about B.O.B., but I can stop you from picking up some asshole in a bar. You want to score, Eva, I'm right here." "I'm not trolling. I'm burning off tension after a stressful day." "You're not the only one." He fingered one of my silver chandelier earrings. "So you drink and dance when you're tense. I work on the problem that's making me tense in the first place." His voice had softened, and it stirred an alarming yearning. "Is that what I am? A problem?" "Absolutely." But there was a hint of a smile around his lips. I knew that was a lot of the appeal for him. Gideon Cross wouldn't be where he was, at such a young age, if he took "no" gracefully. "What's your definition of dating?" A frown marred the space between his brows. "Lengthy social time spent with a woman during which we're not actively fucking." "Don't you enjoy the company of women?"
