Meeting the wolf Many years ago on Sunday a young girl walked on a lonely road. The sun was shining and light clouds were in the sky. She was on her way home. Suddenly the sun disappeared and dark clouds appeared in the sky. She felt a little scared but didn't pay much attention on it. Before she could find any place to hide, it started raining. The weather was getting worse and worse until there were an awful thunderstorm. The girl had nowhere to go, she was frightened and started crying. She heard something moving in the bushes which scared her even more. She tried to be quiet and see what was in the bushes but she didn't see anything. As soon as she took a deep breath, the wolf jumped out of the bushes. He sniffed around and then started to move towards the girl. She started screaming and the wolf started howling. Neither of them knew what to do until the girl tried to get closer to the wolf. She succeeded

Kadi Bruus Courage in the Storm I was covering my ears while waiting for the next thunder to strike. The distance from my house to the shelter seemed insurmountable. I swallowed the lump in my throat and run. The storm was so intense, it made hurricane Irma look like a sneeze. It must have been the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard and the rain like someone was pouring water from a giant bucket. I barely made it to the shelter, that my dad built a few years ago. It was a safe place to hide while hurricanes and thunderstorms were bullying. The room was equipped with all the necessary things food, water, batteries, flashlights, warm clothes, etc. But to my surprise, I was the first one there. Where were mum and dad? Where was my younger sister? I tried to remember where I saw them last
lives among its branches. The canopy's function is to photosynthesise. Canopy trees arrange their leaves to soak up as much of the sunlight as possible and supply them with a continuous stream of water and nutrients from the soil far below, so that the process is uninterrupted from dawn to dusk. 1.2. Describe these features Light gap A common event in the tropical rainforest is the fall of an emergent tree, usually during a tropical thunderstorm. In fact, it is estimated that tree turnover rates in some rainforests are every 80-135 years. When one of these giants--laden with lianas connected to neighboring trees--falls, it takes out a sizeable portion of the canopy. This hole in the canopy is known as a "light gap" because direct sunlight reaches the floor in contrast to the usual 1-5 percent under full canopy conditions. The opening of a light gap brings many changes to the section of rainforest. Drip tips

Scholar.google.com annab küsimusele teadusartiklitest, mille pealkirjas on sõna "lightning" (välk) ca 12500 vastust samal ajal, kui pealkirjadest sõna "thunderstorm" (äike) otsides saab vastuseid kõigest ca 850. Kõige lihtsam välgu uurimise meetod on öine aegfotograafia. See annab küll ilusaid pilte, kuid vähe informatsiooni välgu olemuse mõistmiseks. Lihtne meetod on ühendada piksevarras maaga mitte otse vaid läbi elektrivoolu registreerimise seadme ja jääda välku ootama. Paraku võib see ootamine kujuneda õige pikaks. Eestis tuleb aastas ühe ruutkilomeetri kohta keskeltläbi üks välk

He thinks to himself that he will never again be anything but kind to everyone in sight. Shortly afterward, though, he yells at a peasant and becomes confused. Yet in his new state of clarity he realizes that having faith doesn't equal perfection. Levin, like others, understands now that to be human is to be flawed. When Levin approaches home, coming in from his land, he hears that Kitty and the baby have gone into the woods. A thunderstorm crashes down. Levin is frightened that they could be struck by lightning. He finds them in the woods, finally, safe but soaked. The storm represents the confusion in Levin's mind. Yet right after Levin finds his family, the sky clears. Everyone is safe again. hand flicked out and the ball smacked into Jasper's hand. "Was that a strike?" I whispered to Esme. "If they don't hit it, it's a strike," she told me. Jasper hurled the ball back to Alice's waiting hand. She permitted herself a brief grin. And then her hand spun out again. This time the bat somehow made it around in time to smash into the invisible ball. The crack of impact was shattering, thunderous; it echoed off the mountains -- I immediately understood the necessity of the thunderstorm. The ball shot like a meteor above the field, flying deep into the surrounding forest. "Home run," I murmured. "Wait," Esme cautioned, listening intently, one hand raised. Emmett was a blur around the bases, Carlisle shadowing him. I realized Edward was missing. "Out!" Esme cried in a clear voice. I stared in disbelief as Edward sprang from the fringe of the trees, ball in his upraised hand, his wide grin visible even to me.
