The group comprises vocalist/pianist/guitarist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Will Champion. A life-changing competition Finally, it was the 1st May the final day of the Youth Rock Competition. Many student bands from all over the country were preparing for the final battle. The Raven wasn't an exception. The vocalist, Daemon, practiced the guitar, while the others tried to calm down from the pressure that was thickening the air. Matrix, the guitarist, had taken his little sister with him. While he himself was practicing with the Ravens, Alice sat amongst the public. Suddenly, someone shook her hand. The girl turned and saw one extravagant-looking woman. "You are Alice Owen, right? The legendary Billy Owen' s youngest daughter?" Alice smiled and nodded. "Yet I don't believe my father is a legend."
Of Monsters and Men is a five-piece indie folk/indie pop band from Iceland, formed in 2010. The band won an annual battle of the bands competition in Iceland in 2010, that was the start of Of monsters and men. The members are co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" órhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir (born May 6, 1989) is the lead vocalist and guitarist, along with Ragnar "Raggi" órhallsson, of the Icelandic indie folk band Of Monsters and Men. Before Of Monsters and Men had been established, Nanna had a solo musical project called Songbird and was a video store clerk. The two sing about an epic battle between birds and bees, wolves running with the wind in the dark, and a whale--with a house on his back--who gives people rides across the ocean. Ghosts, mythic kings and magical monsters are more to Raggi's liking

was named "Chris The French Kiss". His first club hit was "Gym Tonic", which was coproduced by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, featuring vocals illegally taken from a Jane Fonda fitness tape. Le Friant is known for popularising the "French touch" of house music with heavy use of sampled and filtered disco strings. His track "I Feel For You", a tribute to French musician Cerrone, from his second album Champs Elysées, hit #9 in the UK Top 40. On track "Darlin'", he worked with vocalist James "D Train" Williams. Le Friant has also worked under other pseudonyms. Under the aliases The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, he has dabbled in hiphop and acid jazz. rhythm guitar and David Desrosiers, who is the vocals and plays the bass guitar. The history of the band began already in 1993, when two 13-year-old boys from Montreal, Pierre and Chuck, founded a band named Reset with two other guys. The band performed all over Canada with other punk bands and their first album was released in 1997. Chuck soon left from the band because of college and founded another band with David, Sebastien and Jeff. When Pierre again joined that band as a lead vocalist, Simple Plan was formed. They recorded only a few demos, when they got a contract with Lava Records. They gained a lot of attention with their first hit "I'm Just a Kid". Bands first album, "No Pads, No Helmets ... Just Balls", rose to the top of charts on 19th March 2002, on the day it was released. Over 2 million copies of that record were sold. Simple Plan has performed with very many bands, beginning with Rancid and ending with Aerosmith

since I used to like the game odd-man-out in middle school. We often played it, as well as Bingo and Puzzle, but finding a word lost in a bizarre of difficultly read context was still my favourite! I have high expectations for it. Unit two is somewhat odd-man-out. It has economy vocabulary and two huge countries: the US and Canada. Especially I'm curious about the last one since one of my favourite music bands, Billy Talent's homeland is Canada. Breaking Benjamin, vocalist number one to my mind, is tightly connected to that wonderful country as well. We studied it casually in form 8, but I'd like to overlearn some facts and maybe even get new ones. Unit three has the honour to gift us reading, grammar, listening and other needful exercises we might actually use in real life after all, that's what the school's about; it's preparing us to dive into the frozen ocean of realistic life of the adulthood without getting any scratches. And,
all-time top-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the US singles chart's fiftieth anniversary, with The Beatles at number one. The Beatles were collectively included in Time magazine's compilation of the 20th century's 100 most important and influential people. The Who are an English rock band which was formed in 1964: vocalist Roger Daltrey, guitarist Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They became known for energetic live performances which often included instrument destruction. The Who have sold about 100 million records and have charted 27 top forty singles in the United Kingdom and United States with 17 top ten albums, including 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone.
the help of mother Sheila and stepfather "Derf", Reginald By day, he ran errands for a music publishing company; he divided his nights between solo gigs at a London hotel bar and working with Bluesology. By the mid-1960s, Bluesology was backing touring American soul and R&B musicians like The Isley Brothers, Major Lance, Doris Troy and Patti LaBelle and The Bluebelles. In 1966, the band became musician Long John Baldry's supporting band and began touring cabarets in England. After failing lead vocalist auditions for King Crimson and Gentle Giant, Dwight answered an advertisement in the New Musical Express placed by Ray Williams, then the A&R manager for Liberty Records. At their first meeting, Williams gave Dwight a stack of lyrics written by Bernie Taupin, who had answered the same ad. Dwight wrote music for the lyrics, and then mailed it to Taupin, and thus began a partnership that continues to this day. In 1967, what would become the first Elton John/Bernie
" "I want a Love like Johnny & June" During Cash's crash on life his long time friend and performing partner June Carter stuck by his side and eventually with the help of her family they managed to help him overcome his addiction. Cash desperately fell for June and in 1968 they were married and his career was back on track. He performed numerous live recordings at Folsom Prison and San Quentin and later was awarded with Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year and male Vocalist awards in 1969. 1969 continued to become the highlight of Cash's life as he received a network television spot for "T h e J o h n n y C a s h S h o w " which aired on ABC. The show featured live guests ranging from Bob Dylan to Louis Armstrong. Cash used the show to break down musical barriers and create genres. He also used the show as a forum to discuss and raise the country's collective consciousness about social issues of the day. The Johnny Cash Show EST. 1969
