nur zögerlich gewährt. 1965 schließlich endete auch eine Demonstration von Anhängern der Beat-Musik mit einer Massenfestnahme und entsprechenden Gerichtsverfahren. Im November des Jahres forderte nun der damalige Sekretär des Nationalen Verteidigungsrates, Erich Honecker, auf dem 11. Plenum des Zentralkomitees eine ,,saubere Leinwand" und wetterte gegen schädliche Tendenzen, Skeptizismus und Unmoral. Folglich wurden 12 DEFA-Filme verboten, Biermann, Stefan Heym und Havemann erneut durch Verbote gegängelt. Ebenso kam die Literatur, welche auf der Linie des Bitterfelder Wegs lag, in Verruf und praktisch zu einem Ende. Die 1970er Jahre: Die Ablösung des Staatsoberhauptes Walter Ulbricht 1971 durch Erich Honecker war ein bedeutender Einschnitt für die DDR-Literatur.
