Täishäälikute ja kaashäälikute muutusi Täishäälikud o ja e, ä muutuvad h ees vastavalt u-ks või i-ks, nt kuhad ‘kohad’, mihe ‘mehe’, tiha ‘teha’, piha ‘pähe’. ae-häälikuühend esineb sõnuti keeleajalooliselt vanemal kujul, nt aed > aid (sõna käändub järgmiselt: aid : aja : aida); ka kaibama, kaiband ‘kaevanud’.
