Everything is brought into the community, and the businesses that operate in Black communities bring in their own people to run them. Despite the thousands of Chinese takeout restaurants in Black communities throughout the country, have you ever seen a Black face behind the counter or inside their kitchen? Yet, Africans spend millions of dollars patronizing these restaurants. When the restaurants make enough money to become upscale, they close shop, pack up their cooking equipment, and move into other neighbourhoods.
