Skateboarding is the act of riding and performing tricks using a skateboard. Skateboarding can be a spare-time activity, a method of transportation, an art form and nowadays even a job. In the first paragraph I talk about skateboarding history. Skateboarding started with oldschool in the late 1940s or early 1950s when surfers wanted to surf when the waves were flat. Since that time a skateboard and its riding stile have changed totally. In the second paragraph I talk about skateboarding equipment. A main piece of skateboard is a skateboarding deck, what is pressed of seven thin veneer plates and where skaters stand. There are many different decks with different shapes and size.
