He started learning in local school. Continued in Riga's seminar and then went to Pärnu's Gymnasium. He graduated in Tartu University In 1898, Päts graduated from the faculty of Law of Tartu University. From 1901 to 1905 he worked as an editor in newspaper "Teataja". Päts had to escape from Estonia, because he was found guilty for rebellious activity. Päts lived in Finland and Switzerland and returned to Estonia in 1909, when he had to serve nine months in St. Petersburg's prison. She got her writer name ,,Koidula" from Carl Robert Jaksobson. She is also referder as ,,koidulaulik", ,,singer of the dawn". She was born in Vana-Vändra and died in Kroonlinn(Russia). She died in breastcancer. In 1946 her remaining were brought to Estonia and reburied to Metsakalmistu, because she had been were certain about where she wants to rest. She is daughter if Johann Voldemar Hansen, who was also very importand in our culture, because he wrote lyrics to our national anthem and organized the first Song Festival. Estonian SSR. The most devastating raid was the Soviet raid during the evening and night of the March 9, 1944. During the raid, 463 people were killed, 659 were wounded, 20,000 were left homeless. 10% of the buildings in Old Town and 40% living spaces were destroyed.
