They are singing the song and the Duke is listening while one of the jelous actress is pointing out that the song and the whole play is really about Satine, Christian and the Duke. Duke gets mad and tells Zidler to change the ending, so the courtisan will choose maharajah. Satine insists that she spends the night with the Duke to discuss that decition. Her real plan is to sleep with the Duke so the play's ending would stay the same. That night the Duke offers Satine everything she has ever dreamed of but when she looks out of the window she sees Christian and she cannot go through with her plan to sleep with the Duke. The Duke tries to rape Satine but another actor saves her. Christian and Satine wanted to run away together from Moulin Rouge. Zidler finds
Forster was born at 6 Melcombe Place, Dorset Square, London. He attended Tonbridge School in Kent as a day boy. The theatre at the school is named after him. King's College, Cambridge between 1897 and 1901, he became a member of the Apostles. After leaving university he travelled on the continent with his mother. He visited Egypt, Germany and India with the classicist Goldsworthy Lowes Dickinson in 1914. Forster spent a second spell in India in the early 1920s as the private secretary to the Maharajah of Dewas. The Hill of Devi is his non-fictional account of this trip. While living at the court, Forster has the first ongoing sexual relationship of his life, with Kanaya, a young boy who serves him also as barber. Forster had a happy personal relationship, beginning in the early 1930s, with Bob Buckingham, a constable in the London Metropolitan Police.
