Mäeahelikudja neid lahutavad madalikud on enam-vähem lääne- idasuunalised. Põhjas algab Loodepoolsaarelt edela-kagusuunalinePõhjaahelik (Massif du Nord), mis jätkub Dominikaani Vabariigis Kesk-Kordiljeeride (Cordillera Central) nime all. Koos moodustavad nad Haiti saare peamäestiku. Lõunas on pikk ja suhteliselt kitsas Tiburoni poolsaar, millel paiknevad Hotte'i mäed(Massif de la Hotte ehk Massif du Sud poolsaare sügavuses, riigi edelaosas) ja Selle'i mäed (Massif de la Selle ehk Chaine de la Selle riigi kaguosas). Selle'i mägedes on ka riigi kõrgeim tipp La Selle (Pic La Selle; 2690 m või 2684 m või 2680 m või 2674 m üle merepinna). Mäestike vahel riigi keskosas vahelduvad kõrgustikud (Matheux' ahelik (Chaine des Matheux), Mustad mäed (Montagnes Noires) madalike ja tasandikega (Cul de Sac, L'Artibonite'i jõe org, Keskplatoo (Plaine Centrale)).
