Yellow stone puma

Males and females interact for breeding when females are about 2 1/2 years old. Giving birth throughout the year, females can have litters of up to four kittens, but usually only one or two survive. Born spotted, the kittens stay with their mothers for about 18 months, after which time they will leave in search of their own home range. The Mountain Lion is capable stalk-and-ambush predator; the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey. Primary food sources include ungulates such as deer and bighorn sheep, but it hunts species as small as insects and rodents The Cougar prefers habitats with dense underbrush and rocky areas for stalking, but it can live in open areas. The cougar is territorial and persists at low population densities. Individual territory sizes depend on terrain, vegetation, and abundance of prey. A single male lion may require up to 175 square miles of territory for its home range. They prefer wild areas frequented by deer. One lion will consume about one deer per week

Suuremad saksofonid on kergema käsitsemise huvides U-kujulised ning nende kõlalehter on veidi ettepoole kaldus. Baritoni suurusest allapoole on toru ülaotsas kahekorra keeratud.

In the eastern forests live elks, black bears, deer, foxes, raccoons, skunks and squirrels. Along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico live large and more colourful birds such as pelicans and flamingos. Alligators can also be found there. Bison (buffalo) are popularly associated with the grasslands, although they once ranged over most of eastern North America before becoming nearly extinct because of hunting. Now they exist only in protected areas. In the western areas live elk, deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and a small number of brown bears. The Kodiak bear, the largest carnivore in North America, is found in Alaska. 7 History The first people to live in North America came from Asia between 10,000 and 30,000 years ago. At that time, North America and Asia were connected by a land bridge. Eventually North America became populated by many different tribes of people. They fished, and where soil permitted, planted
