3 1. Marss 1.1. Marsi ajalugu Esimese inimene, kes vaatles Marssi teleskoobist oli Galileo. Sajand pärast seda leidsid astronoomid Marsilt polaarjääd. 19. ja 20. sajandil arvasid teadlased, et nad nägid Marsil pikki sirgeid kanalite võrgustikke, mis võiksid vihjata tsivilisatsioonile.
