How far can we go being tolerant?

world. For me it is quite hard to understand because first of all, we, Estonians and me myself also are mostly not deeply religious and I am not sure if I really know what religion means to them. Secondly, I think those people who have sometihng agains those relgions, do not know about them and their nature, what those religons belive in. People should be tolerate because religion is everyone's own choice. One thing that causes issues are abortions. Some religions do not accept it because for them it is killing a human. Other parts of the world tolerate it because for them it is not killing but and I think it sometimes is justified. If you are young and you are alone in the world, you do not have money to raise a baby then abortion is right thing for you and most for the baby. Also when woman who have some disease make abortion it has to be tolerated. There are also many other small and not so small things we have to tolerate every day.

Swifts A Modest Proposal

The author cites infants' breeding as an example for improving the economical conditions, finding the proposal "a fair, cheap and easy method of making these children sound and useful members of the common-wealth" (52). He says that because many women in those times had no any material capabilities to raise children and provide for them. The proposal, in his opinion, will make the babies "beneficial to the public" and "prevent those voluntary abortions, and that horrid practice of women murdering their bastard children. Alas! Too frequent among us, sacrificing the poor innocent babies" as well (54). Children are not representing anything, but a hot commodity there. Especially my attention was struck by the fact that the author incorporates a settlement system, when he calculates the costs for rearing and profit from the sale of poor women' babies. According to Swift, "a child just dropped from its dam may be

Services, named formaldehyde as a known human carcinogen in its 12th Report on Carcinogens (2011). Toxicity for Reproduction Studies in Humans No increased risk of spontaneous abortion was seen after maternal or paternal exposure to formaldehyde based upon survey questionnaire. In one study of cosmetologists who used formaldehyde based disinfectant products as well as other chemicals a slight excess of spontaneous abortions is reported, but that finding could not be linked to any chemical exposure. Formaldehyde exposure levels were not reported in these studies. Low birth weight was not statistically significant associated with formaldehyde exposure in a population-based epidemiological study. No effects on sperm morphology were seen in exposed individuals exposed to formalin from a hospital autopsy service. In WHO IARC it is concluded that "whether administered by inhalation, ingestion or the skin to

The Witch Trials in Salem

" The Church associated women with sex, and all pleasure in sex was condemned, because it could only come from the devil. Witches were supposed to have gotten pleasure from copulation with the devil and they in turn infected men. Lust in either man or wife, then, was blamed on the female. On the ohter hand, witchs were accused of making men impotent. As for female sexuality, witches were accused, in effect, of giving contraceptive aid and of performing abortions. In the eyes of the Church, all the witches' powers was ultimately derived from her sexuality. Her career began with sexual intercourse with the devil. Each witch was confirmed at a general meeting (the witches' Sabbath) at witch the devil presided, often in the form of a goat, and had intercourse with the neophytes. In return for her powers, the witch pomised to serve him faithfully. (in the imagination of the Church even evil could be thought of as ultimately male-directed!) As the
