William Turner

Form 11 J.M.WILLIAM TURNER ,,THE SLAVE SHIP" Painter: Full name is Joseph Mallord William Turner, born on the 23 April 1775 and died on the 19 December 1851. He was an English Romantic landscape painter, watercolourist and printmaker. Although renowned for his oil paintings, Turner is also one of the greatest masters of British watercolour landscape painting. He is commonly known as "the painter of light". Painting: The subject of the painting is the practice of 18th century slave traders who would throw the dead and dying human 'cargo' overboard during the middle passage in the Atlantic Ocean. Turner was inspired by two sources: by the Zong Massacre of slaves and by lines from James Thomson's The Seasons (The Zong Massacre was the name given to the mass-killing of African slaves that took place in 1781 on the Zong)

Joseph Mallord William Turner and "The Fighting 'Temeraire'

Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851) I'm going to talk a little about Joseph Mallord William Turner and his most gorgeous painting ,, The Fighting `Temeraire' tugged to her Last Berth to be broken up". Joseph Mallord William Turner was born on 23 April 1775. He was an English Romantic landscape painter, watercolourist and printmaker. He has laid the foundation for Impressionism. Turner is also one of the greatest masters of British watercolour landscape painting. He is commonly known as "the painter of light". One of his main themes was the helplessness and smallness of man against the destructive forces of nature. One of my favourite paintings is "The Fighting `Temeraire' tugged to her Last Berth to be broken up. Turner was in his sixties when he painted this painting. It shows his mastery of painting techniques to suggest sea and sky. It depicts one of the last second-rate ships of the line which

She said: ´Amen.´ 7 What were Charlie's `Secret Santa ` presents for Patrick? Comment on his choices. How could Patrick know who the presents were from? A mix tape Charlie just knew that it should. Magnetic poetry Charlie thought it very fun. Watercolour paints and some paper Charlie thought Patrick might like them even if he never uses them. A harmonica and a book about playing it Charlie thinks that everyone should have watercolours, magnetic poetry and a harmonica. A book called ´The Major of Castro Street´ Charlie hoped it means something to Patrick. Patrick could know who the presents were from because he knows that only

Then he just switches topics and starts talking about how excited he'll be to get his driver's license. In addition, he tells that he read some books, what Bill gave him. December 11, 1991 For Patrick's second Secret Santa gift, he buys him magnetic poetry so he could make his own poem. Charlie gets socks from his Secret Santa. December 19, 1991 Charlie reveals his Secret Santa gifts: slacks, a tie, a white shirt, shoes, and a belt. For Patrick, Charlie has bought watercolour paints and a book about playing the harmonica. The fifth gift is a book: The Mayor of Castro Street about Harvey Milk. Milk was gay, so Charlie thought that Patrick should definitely like it, because Patrick was also gay. December 21, 1991 Everybody headed to Sam and Patrick's house for the final Secret Santa swap. All the friends sit around and drink brandy and reveal who was whose Secret Santa. For Patrick's final gift, Charlie reads a poem. Everyone else exchanges presents

Australia.

There are two types of rock paintings. One is petroglyphs it means removing the rock, including scratching, abrading, pecking, carving, drilling, incising and sculpting. The other one is pictography that means painting with mineral pigments, for example clay and ochre. The dot painting is when patterns are created using dots. The paintings are also about the Dreamtime. The most famous Aboriginal artist is Albert Namatjira. He is best known for his watercolour Australian outback landscapes. Literature: Australian literature began soon after the settlement of the country by Europeans. Common themes include indigenous and settler identity, alienation, exile and relationship to place - but it is a varied and contested area. Patrick White was a world-famous Australian writer. In 1973, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He has published 12 novels, two short-story collections and eight plays.
