The reason why such a large number of people are using these sites, is because it is a comfortable and easy way to stay in touch with friends and family. Who would not want to get daily updates from their loved ones and see what is new in their life. Thanks to social networking sites, there are no boundaries as to where and when you can message or even videocall someone. However, all the information put on the Internet leaves a trace. It can not be deleted and it can be easily found by anyone who is interested. This can be harmful, as more and more employers are conducting background checks on their future employees. Some foolish jokes and posts about parties may cost people their dreamjobs. What is more, private details put online can lead to identity theft or fraud. Every piece of
videos and more. I know that we live in a digital age, but maybe this new fancy disorder is a bit over a notch. All in all, I think that it's completely normal to have an account in Facebook, but we should keep some boundaries in case we don't want to mix up our virtual life with the real one. Sure I can communicate with my friends easily via Facebook chat, but seeing eye-to-eye is way better. And I don't mean that instead of chatting online we should chat via videocall- no no! We shouldn't spend our short and precious life wandering around in the dephtless expanses of the Internet because reality is so much better!
