Slumdog Millionaire is a British drama film, based on adapation of the novel Q & A
(2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.
Slumdog Millionaire is set and filmed in India. It was dubbed in Hindi and the film
dubbing superviser is Loveleen Tandan. Slumdog Millionaire was nominated for 10
oscars but won 8, including Best Picture of 2008
In Mumbai in 2006, eighteen-year-old Jamal Malik, a former street child , from
the Juhu slum, is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a
Millionaire?, and is one question away from winning a fortune. However, before
the 20 million question, he is detained and interrogated by the police, who suspect
him of cheating .
