Recreational use of Pärnu river (essee)

1) Fishing: There is a fish farm in Roosna-Alliku that breed rainbow trouts
2) Canoeing: There are several enterprises (e.g. Edela Loodusmatkad OÜ) which
offer canoeing trip for a day or up to 3 days. Even our own school has 2 canoes.
3) Wildlife tourism: Along the river basin there is abundance of different wildlife
species, for example broad-leaved trees and different bird species, which are
under conservation of the environmental law.
4) Swampland tourism: Soomaa National Park is the second biggest natural reserve.
Soomaa has been created to protect large raised bogs, flood plain grasslands,
paludified forests and meandering rivers. The territory of the national park is
mostly covered with large mires, separated from each other by the rivers of the
Pärnu River basin
