Are you experienced? By William Sutcliffe
Have you ever thought about backpackers and what makes them go to such a nerve-racking
trip? Or do they regret leaving modern life behind and packing it up to find themselves in 3 rd
world countries? I had thought about it before, however newer as thoroughly as William
Sutcliffes novel made me think. The author writes about the struggles and triumphs in
adjusting to major environmental changes and issues with other travellers that appear in every
other backpackers journey.
The book is entertaining though it’s full of problems that the 3 rd world has and it highlights
them in almost unnoticeable ways. “Are you experienced “ draws attention to food and water
problems that are common in India. There were many detailed descriptions of diseases and
