The film stars Jennifer Connelly, Greg Kinnear, Lily Collins, Nat Wolff and Logan Lerman. It focuses on the complicated relationships between a successful novelist, ex-wife and their collegiate daughter and teenage son. Stuck in Love is an endearing drama about the different shades of love as experienced by the members of a family used to expressing their feelings through their creative writing. Lily Collins steals the movie with her nuanced depiction of Samantha's transformation once she surrenders to a person who really loves her and wants all the best for her. Greg Kinnear and Jennifer Connelly both enable us to feel for them and to understand the leap of faith it will take for them to start afresh. And Nat Wolff is appealing as the teenager whose life is rocked by his relationship with Kate.
Hamlet's view of death influences his morality: if all people die, no matter what they do, then one's actual life becomes less significant than its purpose. In Hamlet's case, this means that his death is not of great concern, but his revenge is. Hamlet saw death as a reliable end to mortal suffering, something that can bring comfort. Later we see clearly a shift in Hamlet's attitude towards death. He surrenders himself to his own fate - what God has for him... whether it is life or death. His contemplation of death and its nature gives way to a new Hamlet who has made peace with the world and is ready for whatever fate brings him.
On you depends my torment or my bliss; And by your doom of judgment, I shall be Blest, if you will; or damned, by your decree. ELMIRE Your declaration's turned most gallantly; But truly, it is just a bit surprising. You should have better armed your heart, methinks, And taken thought somewhat on such a matter. A pious man like you, known everywhere . . . TARTUFFE Though pious, I am none the less a man; And when a man beholds your heavenly charms, The heart surrenders, and can think no more. I know such words seem strange, coming from me; But, madam, I'm no angel, after all; If you condemn my frankly made avowal You only have your charming self to blame. Soon as I saw your more than human beauty, You were thenceforth the sovereign of my soul; Sweetness ineffable was in your eyes, That took by storm my still resisting heart, And conquered everything, fasts, prayers, and tears, And turned my worship wholly to yourself.
