 A   contradiction   between   British   pop   culture   and   Meena’s   grandmother’s   ethnic   culture,   which  actually  helps  develop  Meena’s  true  identity.  The  novel  is  witty  and  funny.       Life   Isn’t   All   Ha   Ha   Hee   Hee   (1999)   –   three   best   friends,   Tania,   Sunita   and   Chila,   of   Punjabi   background.   The   common   problems   all   women   face,   regardless   of   where   or   when   they   live,   plus   culture   specific   concerns.   Questions   whether   the   “ever   after”   is   actually  happy.
