Songwriters aren’t paid fairly for their songs which are streamed Nowadays when mobile devices are our everything, everything can be done with your mobile phone. You can listen to music, watch videos, play games and even do coding with your phone. There are lots of musicians, rappers and songwriters whose lives are a dream to many. However, things aren’t always as they seem. Firstly, in 2006, a website called Spotify was created. In Spotify you could listen to music anywhere you want, very easily and without spending any money. Songwriters started getting a lot of attention and spins for their creation. In addition, by 2021, Spotify had already reached 158 million users. Songs are making history by getting huge amounts of streams, over 1000 million streams
that continues to this day. In 1967, what would become the first Elton John/Bernie Taupin song, "Scarecrow", was recorded; when the two first met, six months later, Dwight was going by the name "Elton John", in homage to Bluesology saxophonist Elton Dean and Long John Baldry. Empty Sky , Elton John's 1969 debut album, went largely unnoticed. The team of John and Taupin joined Dick James's DJM Records as staff songwriters in 1968, and over the next two years wrote material for various artists, like Roger Cook and Lulu. Taupin would write a batch of lyrics in underr an hour and give it to John, who would write music for them in half an hour, dispoosing of the lyrics if he couldn't come up with anything quickly.
